The Nautitech yard is known for the slender hull shape and solid construction of its catamarans, while still offering a comfortable accommodation. The Nautitech 40 is also popular among sailors who enjoy feeling the wind on their face, made possible by the twin helms positioned on the aft corners. From here, the helmsman has excellent visibility of the rig and is not disturbed by what happens in the spacious cockpit. The coachroof, which extends over the cockpit, features a large sliding hatch for those who prefer to sit in the sun.

“Same Same” was collected in France in 2004 by her Danish owner. Ten years later he sailed the yacht to Greece, where he sold her in 2015 to an Italian organisation that spent four years sailing with students from all over the world along the Italian coast from Bari southwards.
The current Dutch owner purchased the catamaran in December 2019 and, between Covid restrictions, adapted her to his preferences with new equipment and navigation electronics, epoxy protection with Finsulate on the hull sections, and other modifications that make mooring in Mediterranean harbours easier.

Due to all these upgrades, “Same Same” has become somewhat heavier and not quite as lively as a new Nautitech 40, especially since the original worn-out headsail was replaced by a slightly smaller jib from a Dragonfly trimaran.
This Nautitech 40 is for sale in the southwest Netherlands, after a few final repairs.

De Nautitech-werf staat bekend om de slanke rompvorm en de solide constructie van haar catamarans, terwijl ze toch een comfortabele accommodatie biedt. De Nautitech 40 is ook populair onder zeilers die graag de wind in hun gezicht voelen, wat mogelijk wordt gemaakt door de dubbele stuurstanden die op de achterste hoeken zijn geplaatst. Van hieruit heeft de stuurman uitstekend zicht op de tuigage en wordt hij niet gestoord door wat er zich in de ruime cockpit afspeelt. Het kajuitdak, dat zich uitstrekt boven de cockpit, is voorzien van een groot schuifluik voor wie graag in de zon zit.

"Same Same" werd in 2004 in Frankrijk opgehaald door haar Deense eigenaar. Tien jaar later zeilde hij met het jacht naar Griekenland, waar hij haar in 2015 verkocht aan een Italiaanse organisatie die vier jaar lang met studenten van over de hele wereld langs de Italiaanse kust van Bari naar het zuiden zeilde.
De huidige Nederlandse eigenaar kocht de catamaran in december 2019 en paste haar, tussen de coronamaatregelen door, aan zijn voorkeuren aan met nieuwe uitrusting en navigatie-elektronica, epoxybescherming met Finsulate op de rompdelen en andere aanpassingen die het aanmeren in mediterrane havens vergemakkelijken.

Door al deze upgrades is de „Same Same“ iets zwaarder geworden en niet meer zo levendig als een nieuwe Nautitech 40, vooral omdat het oorspronkelijke versleten voorzeil is vervangen door een iets kleinere fok van een Dragonfly-trimaran.
Deze Nautitech 40 staat te koop in het zuidwesten van Nederland, na enkele laatste reparaties.
