For sale is the smallest sailboat to have ever crossed the Atlantic non-stop and unassisted in both directions.
This unique vessel, made of basalt fiber (functionally similar to carbon fiber), was hand-built in 2012 by the Sedlacek family in Austria as a prototype for the development of basalt fiber in shipbuilding. It consists almost entirely of a basalt-balsa wood sandwich construction, making it extremely rigid, lightweight, and durable.
In 2013-14, Harald Sedlacek sailed it single-handedly and non-stop across the Atlantic in both directions, covering nearly 10,000 nautical miles during his journey.
In terms of design, the boat is a miniature version of an Open 60 or IMOCA 60, equipped with all available technical extras:
Carbon Rig by Lorima
4 independent forestays with furlers and bowsprit
Backstays with checkstays
Dyneema shrouds (wire forestay)
Canting Keel (200kg total, 180kg ballast)
Daggerboard (New + Original)
Twin rudder system (New + Original)
6 watertight compartments
18x Spinlock XAS jammers
2x Jib lead tracks
2x Code/Gennaker lead tracks with ball bearings

Trailer:

Boat Data:
LWL (Length Waterline): 4.88 m

Weight: 450 kg (250 kg without keel)
Mast Height: 8.1 m
Total Height: ~9.5 m
