Olsen from CDE Danish Marine Design (cde-dmd.com). The result is a rare combination of classic lines and Scandinavian design sensibility, where functionality and aesthetics go hand in hand.

A blue-water yacht ready for long voyages with exceptionally low operating costs
Two Mercedes V12 (OM 424) engines, each producing 420 HK, ensure robust propulsion with low fuel consumption. Dual bow thrusters and a stern thruster make maneuvering easy, while two powerful generators ensure a stable power supply for everything on board. Despite its size, the Marjan uses less fuel than many 45-foot fiberglass boats. All systems are commercial-grade—built to last, not to be polished.

Lady Marjan is moored at Aalborg Marina in her own side-by-side berth—with perhaps the most beautiful sunset in the kingdom. A registered address is available. The marina offers nature, open vistas, and easy access to Fur, Skagen, and the Swedish west coast.

Finances and Sale
The vessel was appraised at approximately 7.33 million DKK in the 2022 up-market and is now priced for an immediate sale, as the owner has decided to part ways with the vessel. The seller offers 5 years of interest-only financing up to 1 million DKK secured by a mortgage on the vessel at an interest rate of 5.5%. The remaining balance is to be paid in cash. There is also the option to trade in another asset valued up to approximately 1 million DKK.
Please note that mortgage loans cannot be obtained for houseboats. Potential buyers should therefore secure financing in advance through their own funds or a bank. When you’re in the market for a houseboat, you should ensure that the following conditions are met. Naturally, Lady Marjan fully meets all of these criteria.
- Full insulation: Insulated without significant thermal bridges.
- Material quality: All fixtures and surfaces should be made of durable, marine-grade materials—not lightweight or plastic solutions.
- Comfort comparable to living on land: Amenities and accessibility should be on par with a modern home—including a kitchen, bathroom, washing machine, heating, and stable high-speed internet access.
- Space and privacy: A good houseboat must have enough space to move around freely and the option to retreat to a private area.
- Ample capacity: Large tanks for both fresh water and wastewater (black water) ensure independence over extended periods.
- Workshop and storage: A dedicated space for maintenance, tools, and storage is a major practical advantage.
