MANUFACTURER’S COMMENTS:

Taking a cue from the world of racing and seeing pictures of around the world currently, the Volvo Ocean Race route of 37,000 miles, the longest race in the world and extreme with the largest number of teams, where new technologies are made test with the use of materials, equipment, keel, dinghy and speed to the maximum resistance.

The Vismara V50 Sport was dreamed, designed and put into implementation by bringing the study of these Volvo Ocean Race hulls that are extremely fast and capable of dealing with the state of the sea in all conditions. As a collaboration between Vismara and Spadolini Design, this 15m performance cruiser is built in carbon using the concept of high performance and giving users the ability to “everyday” enjoy the performance without sacrificing the convenience of a cruising yacht.

The project stems from the idea that winning is better, that is, among other things, creates emotion and said it immediately transmits a form that is convincing, passionate, but it seems normal at the same time innovative. The exterior of the V50 “Sport” features original shapes and straight lines with a very low coach roof. Since this boat has also been designed with a mindset towards occasional racing, a deck layout featuring 6 self-tailing Harken winches allows consolidated rig operations.

Additional distinctive elements of the exterior are a bowsprit in the construction of the hull without the need for additional reinforcement, an aft carbon structure that can function as support for antennas and also outboard motor recovery, and a carbon walkway consisting of a single piece of 2.20 meters, inserted in the transom to make it lighter and more slender. For the interior, Alessandro Vismara looked to the Vismara V52 and created a sleek and spacious 3-cabin, 3-heads interior layout with excellent ergonomics.

MANUFACTURER’S BACKGROUND:

Since the early beginnings in 1984, Vismara’s history has been marked by the continuing objective to innovate, without ever resting on their laurels.

This is a route mapped out by their designer and company founder, Alessandro Vismara, a naval architect with an education in Applied Hydrodynamics and Performance Prediction from Southampton. On returning to Italy, Alessandro’s roots start with Perini Navi and fortified in 1990 through an association with Baltic Yachts of Finland.

Through more than 40 years of skillful professionalism spent putting heart and soul into building, designing and fine-tuning vessels, Alessandro and his team delivered in excess of 150 boats customised or built entirely to measure, 300+ boats altered or renovated. and over 600 satisfied boat owning customers.
