Amel Euros 41 (1976) | Extensively Upgraded | Ocean-Ready Bluewater Cruiser

The Amel Euros 41 is a legendary bluewater cruising yacht, designed and built by the renowned French shipyard Amel. Well known for its exceptional build quality, seaworthiness, and comfortable ketch rig, the Euros 41 has earned an outstanding reputation among long-distance sailors worldwide.

This 1976 example has benefited from extensive upgrades in recent years, including a new Volvo Penta engine, new standing rigging, recent sails, upgraded electrical systems, solar power, and modern navigation equipment.

History

Delivered new by the Amel shipyard in La Rochelle to her first German owner in 1976, the yacht spent her first five years cruising the French Mediterranean coast. In 1981 she was sold to another German owner, who relocated her to Croatia, where she remained based in Veli Rat for approximately 40 years, sailing mainly throughout the Adriatic Sea.

In 2022, she began a new chapter, crossing the Atlantic to the Caribbean. The current owner purchased her in Trinidad in 2023 and sailed extensively through the Caribbean as far as Guatemala before completing the Atlantic crossing back to Portimão, Portugal. Her recent voyages clearly demonstrate the reliability and offshore capabilities for which Amel yachts are famous.
