The vessel was originally built under the name “Schwan” for the major Landi Exhibition on Lake Zurich (Zürichsee). She was later renamed to “Halb-Insel AU”. In 1948/1949, the vessel was lengthened by approximately 4.5 metres. In 1998, she was taken out of service and brought to the Netherlands, where she underwent a renovation before being put back into service.
