Following our sabbatical, we are selling our beautiful Prout Event 34, AIDANA.
We bought her in England in 2024, imported her into the EU and carried out an extensive modernisation and refit. We then spent one year cruising the European canals and rivers, followed by another year sailing in the Mediterranean. EU import VAT was paid in Germany in 2024.
Aidana is not a racing boat, but a reliable and solid cruising catamaran which, like all Prouts, can be sailed safely and comfortably from the cockpit, even single-handed. This is one of the reasons why Prout catamarans have achieved something of a cult following and have been sailing around the world for decades.
The 2024/2025 refit focused particularly on the electrical system and included: 800 W solar, two 12 V / 280 Ah LiFePO4 batteries, Victron MultiPlus 3,000 VA, two SmartSolar MPPT controllers, Orion XS DC/DC charger, Lynx distribution system, and Cerbo GX with touchscreen display. Wiring, fuse boxes and power outlets were renewed. Fresh water, waste water and diesel tank levels are monitored via the Cerbo GX.
Navigation and electronics: Raymarine Axiom 7+, Evolution EV-150 autopilot (2021), i70, wind transducer, DST800, Ray53 VHF, Vesper XB-8000 AIS transponder and Orca Core 2. A Starlink Mini, including mounting bracket and wiring, is also included.
The interior features new upholstery, upholstery covers, flooring and LED lighting, as well as an Armaflex-insulated headliner in the saloon and refurbished heads. The saloon also received new solid mahogany trim.
The aft cabin has a queen-size berth, the forward cabin has a single berth, and the saloon provides an additional double berth measuring 1.50 x 2.00 m, with new mattresses and Froli bed suspension. A second aft cabin is currently used for storage and electrical equipment but can be converted back into a sleeping cabin. In the current configuration, Aidana sleeps five.
The three cabins were relined with grey felt in 2022 on behalf of the previous owner.

Engine: Beta Marine 30, engine and gearbox from 2013, with 930 engine hours. The engine and original Sonic Drive Leg have been comprehensively serviced every year and, in our assessment, are in very good condition.
Fuel consumption is very low: on average, we used less than 2 litres of diesel per hour at approximately 5 knots / 2,000 rpm.
The Jeckells mainsail, genoa, gennaker and storm sail are used but well cared for and, in our assessment, in good condition. Furlex 200S, Sailtainer and Harken winches (2022); most of the running rigging has been renewed since 2025.
Safety equipment includes an Ocean Signal EPIRB3 (2026), a Seago four-person liferaft (2024, next service due June 2027), as well as a Zodiac dinghy with Torqeedo 1103 electric outboard, all included in the sale.
The beautiful cherrywood interior joinery is largely original and has not been painted over.
Aidana is a non-smoking boat, and no animals have been kept on board since the refit. With more than a little pride, we can say that we have yet to come across another boat of this age that is as clean and free from unpleasant odours as our Aidana.
The exterior is still the original gelcoat and has not been painted.
Naturally, there are age-related signs of use and weathering consistent with a boat built in 1990. We are not aware of any defects or necessary outstanding repairs.
Included in the asking price of EUR 89,000 and planned for completion by March 2027: inspection of the standing rigging, as well as inspection and refurbishment of the underwater hull and rudders. The planned treatment consists of five to six coats of 2-component epoxy primer followed by a final antifouling coating; the specific antifouling system can be agreed with the buyer. These works are planned and are not currently represented as having been completed.

Nach unserem Sabbatical verkaufen wir unsere wunderschöne Prout Event 34 AIDANA. Wir haben sie 2024 in England gekauft, in die EU importiert und umfangreich modernisiert. Anschließend waren wir ein Jahr auf den europäischen Kanälen und Flüssen, sowie ein Jahr im Mittelmeer unterwegs. Die Einfuhrumsatzsteuer wurde 2024 in Deutschland entrichtet.
Aidana ist kein Rennboot aber ein zuverlässiger und solider Fahrtenkatamaran, der sich, wie alle Prouts, sicher aus dem komfortablen Cockpit auch Einhand segeln lässt. U.a. deswegen haben Prouts Kultstatus und segeln seit Jahrzehnten um die ganze Welt.
Der Refit 2024/2025 umfasste insbesondere die Stromversorgung: 800 W Solar, zwei LiFePO4-Batterien mit jeweils 12 V / 280 Ah, Victron MultiPlus 3.000 VA, zwei SmartSolar MPPT-Regler, Orion XS DC/DC-Ladegerät, Lynx-Verteilung sowie Cerbo GX mit Touchdisplay. Achterkabine mit Queen-Size-Liegefläche, Vorderkabine mit Einzelliegefläche und zusätzliche Doppel-Liegefläche im Salon (1,50 x 2,00 m) mit neuen Matratzen und Froli-Unterfederung. Eine weitere Achterkabine dient derzeit als Lager- und Elektrikraum; ein Rückbau ist möglich. Insgesamt fünf Schlafplätze in der aktuellen Aufteilung.
Die neue Verkleidung der drei Kabinen mit grauem Filz erfolgte 2022 im Auftrag des Vorbesitzers.

Beta Marine 30, Motor und Getriebe von 2013, 930 Motorstunden. Motor und originaler Sonic Drive Leg wurden jährlich umfassend gewartet und befinden sich nach unserer Einschätzung in sehr gutem Zustand.
Sehr geringer Verbrauch-wir haben im Schnitt bei ca. 5 Knoten/2000 Umdrehungen unter 2 Liter Diesel die Stunde verbraucht.
Großsegel, Genua, Gennaker und Sturmsegel von Jeckells sind gebraucht, gepflegt und nach unserer Einschätzung in gutem Zustand. Furlex 200S, Sailtainer und Harken-Winschen (2022); laufendes Gut überwiegend erneuert (seit 2025).
Ocean Signal EPIRB3 (2026), Seago-Rettungsinsel für vier Personen (2024, nächste Wartung Juni 2027) sowie Zodiac-Beiboot mit Torqeedo 1103 im Lieferumfang.
Die wunderschönen Kirschholzeinbauten im Innenraum sind überwiegend original erhalten und nicht überlackiert.
Nichtraucherboot & seit Sanierung keine Tiere an Bord. Mit nicht nur ein bisschen Stolz können wir sagen, dass wir auf noch keinem Boot in dem Alter waren, das so sauber und frei von Gerüchen ist, wie unsere Aidana.
Außen original Gelcoat (nicht lackiert).
Altersgemäße Gebrauchs- und Bewitterungsspuren entsprechend Baujahr 1990. Uns sind keine Mängel oder notwendige ausstehende Reparaturen bekannt.
Im Kaufpreis von 89.000 EUR enthalten und bis März 2027 geplant: Begutachtung des stehenden Guts sowie Kontrolle und Überarbeitung von Unterwasserschiff und Rudern. Vorgesehen sind fünf bis sechs Schichten 2K-Epoxidprimer und eine abschließende Bewuchsschutzbeschichtung; die Auswahl kann nach Absprache erfolgen. Diese Arbeiten sind noch nicht als abgeschlossen ausgewiesen.
