A rare opportunity to take over a genuine one-off construction designed by Elvstrøm & Kjærulff for the 1978 World Championship in the ¾-ton class - with Paul Elvstrøm as captain.

The boat was built at Jersie Boatyard with cross-laminated mahogany/epoxy, fiberglass coated and with lead keel. Today, the boat is a thoroughly renovated classic that combines uncompromising sailing qualities with warm, classic wooden cabling and comfort below deck.

Sailing performance:
This is a boat for the quality-conscious sailor who appreciates speed, balance and feeling the wind.

  • Extremely agile - especially strong on crossings
  • Fast in light winds
  • High rig and 200 kg extra lead in the fin keel
  • Sleek and responsive - reefs relatively early
  • Appeals to the active sailor with racing DNA

Sails & Rig:

  • Mainsail 25 m² (2024, Høi Jensen Sail, 7.55 oz Dacron, 2 ropes)
  • Jib (2024, Høi Jensen Sail)
  • Genoa 1 lightweight 30.2 m² (2012, Quantum)
  • Original spinnaker + "Big Boy" + storm jib

  • Fractional rig
  • Mast and standing rigging (John Mast, 2007)
  • Boom (John Mast, 2000)
  • Original spinnaker pole

Engine & Technology:

  • Betamarine 3-cyl. 25 HP (2006)
  • 70A alternator
  • Technodrive gear
  • 2-blade folding propeller (Korsør Propeller)
  • ManeCraft DeepSea shaft seal
  • 60 L fresh water / approx. 40 L diesel
  • 3 batteries (approx. 200 Ah consumption + 80 Ah start)

Comfort & Interior:

Classic, high-quality mahogany interior.

  • Headroom: approx. 1.82 m at pantry / 1.75 m in saloon
  • 2 cabins (4 fixed berths) + saloon with 2 extra seats
  • Pantry with Origo 6000 alcohol stove
  • Large cooler with Isotherm compressor
  • Electric water pump
  • Chart table with Philippi electric panel (2024)
  • Raymarine Ray73 VHF with AIS (2024)
  • NMEA 2000 network
  • Raymarine Element 9s plotter w. AIS (2022)
  • Garmin 300C sonar with fishfinder
  • Jabsco toilet (2022)

Plenty of closet space and a classic maritime feel.

Deck & Equipment:

  • 6 winches (4 self-tailing, including 2 Andersen 34 ST from 2019)
  • Easylock winch relievers
  • Two compasses (Plastimo 135)
  • New lanterns (2024)
  • KiwiGrip anti-slip coating
  • New hatches and sliding hatch
  • Teak fender moldings
  • Fortress + umbrella anchor
  • 100W solar panel (VidaXL)
  • Stainless steel bathing ladder

Possibility to co-purchase:

  • Solid winter stand

Extensive renovations:

The boat has been in the same ownership since 1997 and continuously maintained with summer sailing along the Swedish and Norwegian coast.

  • 2003: Partial bottom replacement incl. bilges and keelson, new stringers, completely renovated rudder
  • 2006: Reinforcement of deck at mast + replacement around bow and stem
  • 2019: Total cosmetic and functional upgrade of freeboard and deck (professional 2-component build)
  • 2023-2024: New sails, new VHF with AIS, new electrical panel, new lanterns, new launches, updated electrical system etc.

All bad wood removed in previous refurbishment - no subsequent problems with rot or water ingress.

This is not just a sailboat - it's a piece of Danish sailing history in full sailing condition. Perfect for the experienced sailor who wants a characterful, fast and well-maintained classic with a proven history and many upgrades.

The boat is located in Jyllinge Harbor (on land at the moment) and is of course handed over launched and ready to sail by agreement. The boat is only sold due to a change to a catamaran and the seller is happy to make his many years of experience with the boat available to the new owner.
