1986 Jeanneau Espace 1100, 39.000 EUR
About Our Boat
We lived onboard last year, cruising the Balearics, and can honestly say this layout is hard to beat for long-term cruising and liveaboard comfort.
Designed by Philippe Briand, the Jeanneau Espace 1100 is known for its solid build quality, forgiving handling, and unmatched interior space. Thanks to the deck saloon layout, you get panoramic 360° views from inside with incredible natural light, which is a rare find in this price range.
Because she’s a sturdy, heavy-displacement classic, she won't break speed records, but she is safe, extremely forgiving, and easy to handle, even for small crews or beginners. With a few minor upgrades, she’s ready for bigger offshore crossings.
Specs
1. Off-Grid Electrical System:
520W Solar Total: 2x 150W rigid panels + 2x 110W ETFE flexible panels
Lithium Battery Bank: 1x 240Ah Eco-Worthy LiFePO4 battery + dedicated starter battery
Victron Gear: Victron B2B charger + Victron MPPT smart solar controller
Power Conversion: 1200W semi-sine inverter + onboard generator & shore power connection
2. Mechanical & Navigation:
Engine: Classic Perkins 4.108 diesel (50 HP / 37 kW) – indestructible and reliable.
History: Only 2 previous owners before us! The owner before us held her for 30+ years and was a professional engine mechanic, so the Perkins was well cared for. He kept all of the docs, manuals and invoices on board that we’ll pass along.
Bow thruster for easy docking and electric anchor windlass.
Dual steering stations (indoor deck saloon helm for bad weather + outdoor cockpit wheel)
Nav Instruments: Radar, VHF, Autopilot, GPS, Depth sounder, Speedometer, Fishfinder, and Radar reflector all original from the 80s.
Stern Metal Arch: Custom metal arch at the stern designed to hang and secure a dinghy (dinghy not included) and easily lift the outboard engine.
3. Living, Comfort & Safety:
Layout: 3 cabins / 6 berths / 1 head with electric toilet.
Water & Galley: Huge 460L fresh water tank, pressurized water system, water heater and big, accessible fridge.
Galley Setup: Gas stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, and sink.
On Deck: Bimini top, integrated swim platform with swim ladder, cockpit table, and stern/deck shower.
Safety: Liferaft Seago SEA MASTER PLUS (46 kg, 1200 mm height) — bought new last year, hand flares, smoke flares, life vests and other safety gear
Extras: TV, radio/CD/DVD/MP3 with cockpit speakers, gas detector, fire extinguishers.
Condition & Projects
We want to be transparent: she is an older boat and there are projects and ongoing maintenance tasks to tackle onboard.
Lifting Keel: The lifting mechanism currently isn't working, so the keel is fixed in place. It can be serviced during the next drydock liftout. We didn't need it in the Balearics.
Last Haul-Out: Out of the water in 2025 for fresh antifouling using International Micron 350 (2-year long-lasting protection paint)
General Maintenance: There are cosmetic and project areas to work on.
Our asking price of €39,000 reflects this.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to put a bit of time into a solid deck saloon and own an incredibly comfortable, capable blue-water cruiser.
We had the best time on board and are looking for her next owner to take her on new adventures!
