2016 Alibi 54, 1.290.000 USD

This custom Alibi 54 redefines luxury performance sailing. A composite hull with a carbon substructure, a rotating carbon mast, retractable propulsion, asymmetrical daggerboards, a full sail inventory, and a refined interior with AC and lithium power deliver a fast, elegant passagemaker. The Alibi 54 is widely regarded as one of the most exhilarating and innovative performance cruising catamarans ever built, and Be The First stands as one of the finest examples of the concept. Conceived with offshore racing technology and comfortable bluewater cruising in mind, the Alibi 54 pushed boundaries and defined a new segment of performance-oriented luxury catamarans. Be The First was customized from the keel up in close collaboration with Alibi founder and naval architect Loïc Goepfert; this yacht reflects a rare level of design integrity and hands-on involvement. Be The First is light, fast, innovative, and intelligently laid out, with a true owner’s layout paired with the comforts of a modern cruising catamaran—an exceptional balance for those seeking both performance and livability.Every aspect of the design emphasizes performance through intelligent engineering and balance. Weight distribution was carefully managed, with centralized systems to reduce pitching and preserve optimal trim. The innovative forward tender lift keeps excess weight out of the stern, while the retractable drive system minimizes drag and allows clean water flow over the rudder blades. Combined with the rotating carbon rig, asymmetrical daggerboards, and a powerful sail plan, Be The First delivers outstanding performance, with reported speeds up to 27 knots and effortless cruising in the high teens.Despite her performance pedigree, she offers a refined and thoughtfully executed interior, showcasing a level of customization and craftsmanship that clearly sets her apart from production-built alternatives. A substantial lithium battery bank and expansive solar array enable quiet, generator-free living at anchor, with a generator available on board if required. She is very nicely equipped for extended cruising, including air conditioning, watermaker, washing machine, dishwasher, wine fridge, deep freezer, and a dive compressor—all seamlessly integrated. Now offered at a significant reduction to USD $1.29M (reduced $400K, March 22, 2026), the pricing reflects the owner’s motivation to secure a sale in the Caribbean before returning to Europe this summer. Austria flag and EU VAT paid, BE THE FIRST is currently located in Nanny Cay Marina, Tortola, BVI. Many more photos, videos, and information on the build are available upon request.
