Remarks :
Atlantic Pearl is a 2003 Albin 24ft Motor Cruiser, a rare and highly regarded US-built pocket trawler that was exported to the UK in 2005 and CE surveyed and marked on entry (Declaration of Conformity and supporting documents available). Albin is not a name widely known in the UK, but the marque is very well respected: originally a Swedish marine engine builder founded in 1929, the company later became a US builder of robust, seaworthy motor boats from 23ft to 100ft in classic Downeast and aft-cabin styles, supported by a very active owners' community (albinowners.net). She is a true long-distance displacement cruiser. Speed is dictated by the hull rather than horsepower, so she cruises comfortably at 6 knots with a maximum of around 7–8, and does so on remarkably little fuel from her 40 gallon tank. Build quality is exceptional: the hull measures 20–25mm thick where it can be checked and the sole boards are nearly an inch thick. Attractive woodwork throughout gives her a genuinely classic feel, and her wheelhouse layout with open cockpit aft makes her equally well suited to coastal cruising, estuary pottering or fishing. The boat is in very good condition throughout and everything works as it should. Thousands of pounds have been spent on her over the last two years, including a new heads, new Lowrance chartplotter/fishfinder, a full electrical check and upgrades, a full engine service and a full service of the outboard, bringing her to her current excellent standard. All receipts are available. RCD Design Category C. Lying afloat in Dartmouth and available to view by appointment.

Video walk-throughs available on request.

Accommodation :
Two sleeping berths in the forward cabin, finished in warm timber joinery with opening portlights and locker stowage. Separate heads compartment with new toilet (fitted 2025) and fold-down sink over, served by an electric cold fresh water pump. Galley provision is a 2-ring gas hob (gas feed currently disconnected) with an alternative portable gas-cartridge stove included. Wheelhouse with two helm seats and full wrap-around windows giving excellent all-round visibility. Aft, the open cockpit has cushioned seating for six under a canvas canopy, leading to a moulded bathing platform with fitted stainless steel boarding ladder and the outboard bracket.

Inventory :
Navigation and electronics: new Lowrance chartplotter/fishfinder; fixed VHF with DSC; handheld VHF; compass; navigation lights (both original and new-format sets fitted). Safety: Seago 2-person life platform (out of date); lifebuoy; throw line; fire extinguisher; fitted stainless steel safety ladder; automatic bilge pump; manual bilge pump. Ground tackle and deck gear: plough anchor with 20 metres of chain and warp; 8 fenders in various sizes; mooring lines plus three fully rigged swinging-mooring set-ups with lines and shackles; brackets and fixing bolts fitted to receive beaching legs (legs not included); seagull scarers; cockpit canopy; moulded bathing platform with fitted stainless steel boarding ladder. Domestic and electrical: solar panel with solar monitor; shore power with lead and sockets; charging points (full electrical check and upgrades December 2025); electric fresh water pump to heads sink; 2-ring gas hob (gas feed disconnected) plus alternative portable gas-cartridge stove; cockpit cushions seating six. Auxiliary: 2008 Mariner 8hp outboard on transom bracket, full engine service January 2026. Documents: CE Declaration of Conformity (2005 import), receipts for all recent work.

Mechanical :
Main engine is a Perkins Sabre commercial-series M65, a 65hp four-cylinder inboard diesel with only 575 hours. Engine type: 4-stroke, water-cooled, naturally aspirated, mechanical governor; bore and stroke 91.4mm x 127mm; displacement 3.99 litres; compression ratio 17.5:1. Very economical and reliable. Full service December 2024; both fuel filters replaced December 2025. Fuel capacity 40 gallons (UK). Typical consumption: low cruise/trawling at 1,200–1,400rpm, 0.20–0.30 gal/hr at 4.5–5 knots; normal displacement cruise at 1,600–1,800rpm, 0.35–0.55 gal/hr (approx. 1.6–2.5 litres/hr) at 5.5–6 knots, the most efficient sweet spot for her ~24ft waterline; high cruise/pushing current at 2,000rpm, 0.65–0.85 gal/hr at her hull maximum of around 7 knots; maximum rated consumption at 2,600rpm (wide open throttle) 1.33 UK gal/hr per Perkins Sabre technical specification.

Higher revs simply waste fuel on a hull of this type. Tankage: 40 gallon fuel; 10 gallon holding tank; 7 gallon fresh water tank (new, the original 30 gallon tank remains in place but decommissioned). Electric water pump to heads sink. Solar panel with monitor, shore power with lead and sockets, and charging points; full electrical check and upgrades December 2025.

Automatic and manual bilge pumps. Auxiliary: 2008 Mariner 8hp outboard on transom bracket, full engine service January 2026.
