This boat is available in October 2024 & can be visited at the NICOLS base in Le Somail (Département 11/ Aude).

The Confort 900 DP is an ideal canal barge for two couples as it has a cabin at each end of the boat with a living area in between. Each cabin provides generous amounts of space (including headroom of about 2m) and access to separate private bathrooms. You’ll find a spacious and well equipped kitchen area.
You can gain access to the outside of the boat via various points. There’s a side door near the inside driving position, a front door which gives access to the front terrace via a staircase moulded into the hull (ensuring easy and safe access) and finally a rear sliding door out to the rear terrace.
A roof deck is also available – perfect for sunbathing and there is a second steering position here.

The Confort 900 DP ‘PALAVAS’ is a 1996 model. Its price is estimated at €47,000.
Some embellishment work is required (joinery, upholstery, linoleum, gelcoat chips, etc.) which can easily be carried out by a good DIY enthusiast.

The annual maintenance budget:
The fact that NICOLS® boats are designed with a polyester hull means they have a very low maintenance budget; their simple, practical and rational design, originally created for charter, also contributes to this low maintenance cost.

As an owner, you should plan to have your boat serviced on land every 3 to 4 years. Other than that, in the same way as a car, it is a question of ongoing maintenance (oil change).
