Shogun 43 gives you both.  The interior of the Shogun 43 is developed to look and feel harmonious both from a sensory and auditory perspective. We wanted to create a quiet and cosy space with an interior that feels solid, and still is lightweight. Thanks to a sleek design that can be customised specifically to your type of sailing, the Shogun 43 is a hybrid performer – whether its weekend hops or long distance cruising. Change your setup depending on the number of people onboard, weather conditions, type of sailing, preferred power, and overall experience. Tearing up the Rulebook The Shogun 43 is designed to be fun and an absolute thrill to sail, which is why we have torn up the rulebook and discarded the notion of what a sail plan should look like. Instead, we have placed the mast further aft, behind the dining table, to get a bigger fore triangle base for headsails. This allows the Shogun 43 to have a 100% self-tacking jib which is a break from conventional Scandinavian yacht design. The large foretriangle base also gives the yacht multiple options for headsails. This gives Shogun 43 a flexible sail plan, which is easy to manage. Options for headsails allows you to easily choose how much horsepower you want in any given occasion. Change your setup depending on the type of sailing, weather conditions, preferred power, number of crew and overall experience. So even if the Shogun 43 is a high performer, you as a sailor decides how sensitive you want your Shogun to be.  We have made this yacht with two different rig and keel options. Your choice depends on the style of sailor you are and what you want to achieve on the water. If you are looking for thrill and exhilaration, the rig with runners and a square top mainsail with a 2.7 m draft keel is the setup that will give you ultimate performance. If you are a more into short-handed sailing or prefer relaxed cruising, then chose the rig with regular backstay and a pinhead mainsail for the shallower 2.4 m keel. Regardless which option you chose, both have a mainsail large enough to always have enough power to help you leave other yachts in your wake.  The Shogun 43 is as flexible as you want it to be. Let's go Doublehanded The exterior layout of the Shogun 43 is designed to be enjoyed by all kind of sailors, from keen racers to relaxed cruising yachtsmen – and especially if you are both. The unique addition of dual winches on the cabin top simplifies doublehanded sailing. Multiple onboard features are designed to remove the need for a crew the size of a football team normally required to set a kite. Are you wondering how to use both winch handles at the same time? You don’t. The pit winches are electric. Use the organisers to efficiently manage the halyards and control lines from either side of the cockpit.  The standard jib tracks are placed on the coachroof to achieve an optimal trim angle and a good sail profile, even when not using the inhaulers. You can choose to have a second pair of tracks, conventionally placed down on the side deck, with floating inhaulers to maximise trim range. Alternatively, you can forgo the tracks on the coachroof and just have the ones on the side deck. It is also possible to add padeyes on the deck for genoa or outboard trim functions. All About the Atmosphere While performance is at the heart of the Shogun 43, style and comfort reign below deck. The whole interior has a wood veneer finish, and the floor is made in a customisable, synthetic fibre. The yacht comes with thick, comfortable cushions clad in a luxurious fabric in the colour of your choice. Every area below deck has multiple design options, allowing you to tailor the yacht entirely to your aesthetic preferences. Underneath the wood veneer, the interior is built in using a flax fibre laminate sandwich construction with a divinycell core. The structural part of the interior is made in a similar way, but with carbon laminate, as it is stronger. Both laminates have the same low weight, but the flax resonates a more dampened sound when you touch it, creating a more relaxed atmosphere inside the yacht. Specifically for the Shogun, we utilised new solutions to make the fine interior lightweight.  Details, like the construction method of the of the corners, making them neither rounded nor straight – but rather like the vertices of a hexagon, cut the weight nearly in half compared to other cruising yachts. They are signature Shogun. The layout has three double berth cabins, one in the bow and two aft. and has the salon table placed forward in the centre, with the mast situated aft of the table. Three large and aligned skylights are located above the table, allowing the sky to enter the salon. Two couches, with large portlights behind them, stretch along on both sides of the salon. The L-shaped galley is located to port, opposite the spacious heads to starboard.Progressive Technology The Shogun 43’s hull, deck, rig, rudders, and the structural elements of the interior are made entirely from carbon. Even the keel blade is made in carbon to maximise leverage, as the majority of the weight is then transferred to the bulb, giving the yacht better righting moment.   The fusion of the hull and deck is done differently. Instead of placing the deck onto the hull and fusing them at the shear line, the Shoguns hull sides fuses by the inside of the deck by the cabin house. This why Shogun can have such a smooth and rounded shearline. When the hull and deck are laminated as one unit it ensures a stiffer structure. The bottom structure is then laminated in after the hull sides are fused.  The cabin top and stern are laminated in individual forms and later fused with the hull. With this stiffer overall structure, the bulkheads become less significant. Allowing the Shogun 43 to have a divided bulkhead structure forward with three aligned skylights. This is the reason the yacht has an open interior that creates a spacious feel. All the carbon laminates are vacuum infused with epoxy and are created in collaboration with our partners and composite experts Vaxholm Komposit, Marstrom Composite and Linjett Yachts.

El interior del Shogun 43 se ha desarrollado para que resulte armonioso tanto desde el punto de vista sensorial como auditivo. Queríamos crear un espacio tranquilo y acogedor con un interior que diera sensación de solidez y, a la vez, fuera ligero. Gracias a un diseño elegante que se puede personalizar específicamente para tu tipo de navegación, el Shogun 43 es un híbrido de alto rendimiento, tanto si se trata de una travesía de fin de semana como de un crucero de larga distancia. Cambia su configuración en función del número de personas a bordo, las condiciones meteorológicas, el tipo de navegación, la potencia preferida y la experiencia general. Rompiendo las reglas El Shogun 43 está diseñado para ser divertido y un auténtico placer de navegar, por lo que hemos roto las reglas y descartado la noción de cómo debe ser un plano vélico. En su lugar, hemos colocado el mástil más a popa, detrás de la mesa del comedor, para conseguir una mayor base triangular de proa para las velas de proa. Esto permite que el Shogun 43 tenga un foque 100% autovirante, lo que supone una ruptura con el diseño convencional de los yates escandinavos. La gran base del triángulo de proa también da al yate múltiples opciones para las velas de proa. Esto proporciona al Shogun 43 un plano vélico flexible y fácil de manejar. Las opciones para velas de proa te permiten elegir fácilmente la potencia que deseas en cada ocasión. Cambia tu configuración en función del tipo de navegación, las condiciones meteorológicas, la potencia preferida, el número de tripulantes y la experiencia general. Así, aunque el Shogun 43 sea de alto rendimiento, tú como navegante decides lo sensible que quieres que sea tu Shogun. Hemos fabricado este yate con dos opciones diferentes de aparejo y quilla. Tu elección depende del estilo de navegante que seas y de lo que quieras conseguir en el agua. Si buscas emoción y regocijo, el aparejo con corredera y mayor cuadrada con una quilla de 2,7 m de calado es la configuración que te proporcionará el máximo rendimiento. Si te gusta más navegar con poca tripulación o prefieres un crucero relajado, entonces elige el aparejo con backstay normal y una vela mayor con puño de amura para la quilla de 2,4 m de calado. Independientemente de la opción que elijas, ambos tienen una vela mayor lo bastante grande como para tener siempre potencia suficiente para ayudarte a dejar a otros yates a tu paso. El Shogun 43 es tan flexible como tú quieras que sea. Vayamos a Dos La distribución exterior del Shogun 43 está diseñada para que la disfruten todo tipo de navegantes, desde regatistas entusiastas a relajados navegantes de crucero, y especialmente si eres ambas cosas. La incorporación exclusiva de winches dobles en la parte superior de la cabina simplifica la navegación a dos manos. Las múltiples funciones de a bordo están diseñadas para eliminar la necesidad de una tripulación del tamaño de un equipo de fútbol que normalmente se necesita para montar una cometa. ¿Te estás preguntando cómo utilizar las dos manivelas del cabrestante al mismo tiempo? No es necesario. Los cabestrantes del foso son eléctricos. Utilízalos para manejar eficazmente las drizas y los cabos de control desde cualquier lado de la bañera. Los rieles de foque estándar se colocan en el techo de la carroza para conseguir un ángulo de trimado óptimo y un buen perfil de la vela, incluso cuando no se utilizan los enrolladores. Puedes elegir un segundo par de rieles, colocados convencionalmente en la cubierta lateral, con enrolladores flotantes para maximizar el rango de trimado. Alternativamente, puedes renunciar a los raíles del techo del cochero y tener sólo los de la cubierta lateral. También es posible añadir padeyes en la cubierta para las funciones de trimado del génova o del fueraborda. Todo sobre el ambiente Aunque el rendimiento es el corazón del Shogun 43, el estilo y el confort reinan bajo cubierta. Todo el interior tiene un acabado de chapa de madera, y el suelo es de fibra sintética personalizable. El yate viene con cojines gruesos y cómodos revestidos de una lujosa tela del color que elijas. Todas las zonas bajo cubierta tienen múltiples opciones de diseño, lo que te permite adaptar el yate por completo a tus preferencias estéticas. Bajo la chapa de madera, el interior está construido con una estructura sándwich de laminado de fibra de lino con núcleo de divinycell. La parte estructural del interior está hecha de forma similar, pero con laminado de carbono, ya que es más resistente. Ambos laminados tienen el mismo bajo peso, pero el de lino emite un sonido más amortiguado cuando lo tocas, creando un ambiente más relajado en el interior del yate. Específicamente para el Shogun, utilizamos nuevas soluciones para aligerar el fino interior. Detalles como el método de construcción de las esquinas, que no son redondeadas ni rectas, sino como los vértices de un hexágono, reducen el peso casi a la mitad en comparación con otros yates de crucero. Son la firma Shogun. La distribución tiene tres camarotes con literas dobles, uno en proa y dos en popa, y la mesa del salón está situada en el centro, con el mástil a popa de la mesa. Sobre la mesa hay tres grandes claraboyas alineadas, que permiten que el cielo entre en el salón. Dos sofás, con grandes portillos detrás, se extienden a ambos lados del salón. La cocina en forma de L está situada a babor, frente a los espaciosos aseos a estribor.Tecnología Progresiva El casco, la cubierta, el aparejo, los timones y los elementos estructurales del interior del Shogun 43 están fabricados íntegramente en carbono. Incluso la pala de la quilla está fabricada en carbono para maximizar el apalancamiento, ya que la mayor parte del peso se transfiere luego al bulbo, proporcionando al yate un mejor momento de adrizamiento. La fusión del casco y la cubierta se hace de forma diferente. En lugar de colocar la cubierta sobre el casco y fusionarlos en la línea de cizalladura, los laterales del casco del Shogun se fusionan por el interior de la cubierta junto a la caseta del camarote. Por eso el Shogun puede tener una línea de cizalladura tan suave y redondeada. Cuando el casco y la cubierta se laminan como una unidad, se garantiza una estructura más rígida. La estructura inferior se lamina después de fundir los laterales del casco. La parte superior de la cabina y la popa se laminan de forma individual y después se fusionan con el casco. Con esta estructura general más rígida, los mamparos son menos importantes. Esto permite que el Shogun 43 tenga una estructura de mamparos divididos en la proa con tres claraboyas alineadas. Esta es la razón por la que el yate tiene un interior abierto que crea una sensación de amplitud.
