Dehler 28 S Top – completely renewed and modernized

This Dehler 28 S Top distinguishes itself by the exceptionally extensive amount of innovations and upgrades that have been carried out in recent years. Substantial investments have been made in navigation electronics, rigging, deck fittings, heating and technical maintenance, among other things. As a result, the boat has been modernized in important ways and is very fully equipped.

One of the biggest upgrades concerns the completely renewed rigging. The complete standing rigging has been replaced, including forestay, main mittens and lower rigging in 1×19 stainless steel, equipped with BlueWave terminals and tensioners. The backstay is made of Gleistein DynaOne Dyneema with an adjustable talie on Harken violin blocks.

The running rigging has also been completely renewed in Gleistein Dyneema. This includes the halyards, sheets, reefing lines I and II, furler reefing line, downholder and tackline. In addition, a Harken MKIV Unit 0 roller reefing system is mounted and the Dehler has a Selden aluminum bowsprit.

The deck fittings have also been thoroughly addressed. The boat is equipped with Harken Radial 15ST self-tailing winches, Spinlock XAS power clutches, a Harken Midrange traveller on stainless steel beam, halfwind shoeing rails with pinstop sleds, Harken mast footblocks and deck organizers. The Dehler Maindrop system has also been renewed.

Modern B&G navigation and instruments

The navigation and on-board instrumentation has been extensively modernised. Onboard features include a B&G Vulcan 9 chartplotter and a B&G Triton speed/depth/wind system. For the autopilot, a TP32 tiller is available, combined with a B&G Precision-9 compass sensor.

In addition, a separate compass and a backbone network have been installed. The equipment is professionally built in and has a suitable finish.

Technology and comfort

A lot has also been done below deck and technically. For comfortable sailing in the early and late season, an Eberspächer D2 diesel heater including installation package is installed.

The fuel system also received attention: the diesel tank was cleaned and fitted with a manhole with cover and a Separ diesel pre-filter was installed.

The saildrive cuff has been replaced, an important maintenance item that is definitely worth mentioning on a used sailboat.

For better ventilation, roof ventilation and a ventilation grille have also been installed in the cabin door.

Underwater hull tackled

The underwater hull has also been thoroughly treated. The existing antifouling was removed, after which the underwater hull was re-primed and antifouled.
