Well documented Børresen Dragon with interesting Danish/Norwegian history and Harbeck twin-axle road trailer.
Built by the renowned Børresen yard in 1996, hull no. 1379, this International Dragon has a particularly well documented history.
Originally sailed in Denmark as DEN 305 “Anne-Sofie”, the boat was exported to Norway in 2007 and subsequently registered and measured as NOR 285 “Lovely Lady”.
The Norwegian measurement certificate identifies Børresen as the builder and 1996 as the year of construction. Recorded yacht weight is 1,700 kg with a keel weight of 1,001 kg.
The present owner acquired the boat in 2011 and has maintained and upgraded her during his ownership.
Rig and sailing
Considerable attention has been given to optimising mast position, rig setup and sail trim. The owner has systematically worked with the mast position relative to Station 4 and the North Sails Dragon tuning recommendations.
The boat has proven to be a rewarding and competitive Dragon when correctly set up.
Sails dating from 2019 are included. New sails is recommended if winning the worlds is the objective..
Storage and maintenance
From 2012 to 2025 the boat was stored ashore for approximately half of each year, under a well-ventilated cover and away from the coast. She has remained ashore throughout 2026.
The underwater hull is currently treated with AF2 antifouling and was previously treated with VC17.
Harbeck road trailer
The boat is sold with a 1998 Harbeck twin-axle Dragon road trailer, registration DS 5955.
The trailer has seen exceptionally little road use during the present ownership – approximately 80 km per year between 2012 and 2025. When not in use, the axles have been raised and the trailer stored supported on four stands.
The electrical system has been checked and plugs renewed. The owner reports the trailer to be in good condition.
