Moody 376 "Tempo" – Ready for Bluewater Cruising and Life Aboard
Tempo is a well-equipped Moody 376 from 1991 that has been upgraded and maintained with a focus on safety, self-sufficiency, and comfort for extended stays on board. The yacht is equipped for both coastal cruising and offshore passages and is presented ready for new adventures.
Energy and Self-Sufficiency
The yacht features a comprehensive energy system with a total solar capacity of 920 W distributed across two independent solar installations. Power is supported by a 440 Ah Victron AGM battery bank, Victron inverter/charger, and intelligent battery monitoring. This setup provides excellent autonomy for extended periods away from shore power.
Navigation and Communication
Tempo is equipped with modern navigation equipment, including a Garmin chartplotter with charts covering Northern and Western Europe, the Caribbean, and the U.S. East Coast. Additional equipment includes an AIS transponder, radar, autopilot, multifunction display, and an integrated NMEA 2000 network with Wi-Fi connectivity.
Safety
Safety equipment includes an 8-person life raft, radar reflector, MOB recovery system, lifebuoy, fire extinguishing equipment, multiple bilge pumps, jacklines, and emergency gear. The yacht is therefore well prepared for extended voyages in varying conditions.
Sails and Rigging
The rig has been continuously upgraded and professionally inspected. The yacht features a newer offshore genoa from 2023, a mainsail with three reefing points and full battens, as well as renewed running rigging from 2023. Several components of the standing rigging have been replaced in 2024 and 2025.
Comfort On Board
The interior is designed for comfortable long-term living, featuring a 250-litre freshwater capacity, hot and cold pressurised water, cockpit shower, two marine toilets, and a well-equipped galley with gas stove, oven, induction cooktop, and cool box. Heating is provided by a Wallas heater and engine heat exchanger system.
Engine and Performance
Propulsion is provided by a Thornycroft T80 diesel engine producing 35 HP, coupled to a fixed three-blade propeller and a 205-litre fuel tank, offering excellent range under power.
Additional Equipment
The yacht is delivered with a solar arch, dinghy davits, spare autopilot, mooring equipment, fenders, spare parts, and extensive deck gear. A Zodiac Cadet Aero 310 inflatable dinghy with a Honda 6 HP outboard engine is available by separate negotiation.
Tempo represents a thoroughly upgraded bluewater cruising yacht with extensive investments in energy systems, safety, navigation, and onboard comfort, making her ideally suited for long-distance cruising as well as full-time liveaboard use.
