The Hallberg-Rassy 382 is one of the classic cruising yachts and is known for its solid, seaworthy construction, protected centre cockpit and layout designed for extended cruising. With her moderate long keel, encapsulated lead keel and comparatively high displacement for a yacht of this size, she is designed around safety, comfort and forgiving sailing characteristics. The combination of traditional yacht building, high-quality interior joinery and a well-considered layout has made the HR 382 a popular cruising yacht for owners who value substance and long-term usability.

The Hallberg-Rassy 382 “Emotion”, hull number 67, built in 1988, was acquired by her current owner in 2021. Since then, the yacht has undergone extensive modernization over several years and has been brought up to a contemporary technical standard. Among other things, the complete sail wardrobe, canvas work, standing rigging and turnbuckles, as well as numerous components of the navigation system, electrical installation and energy supply, were renewed. The safety equipment, anchoring system, interior and various technical systems were also upgraded or replaced over the following years.

“Emotion” has been sailed exclusively in the Baltic Sea and was always stored ashore during the winter months, covered with a full winter cover. The yacht was used comparatively little. Regular maintenance and documented service and refit work therefore took centre stage. As the current owner has decided to sell the yacht due to the limited use, this presents an opportunity to acquire a Hallberg-Rassy 382 that has been carefully maintained and extensively technically upgraded over many years.

The classic centre cockpit layout provides a clear separation between the living and sleeping areas. The spacious owner’s cabin is located aft and features a double berth as well as an additional single berth on the opposite side. The salon has a large, comfortable seating area providing ample space even during extended stays on board. The galley is located to starboard.

Forward are the heads and the guest cabin. The guest cabin features a double berth. The heads are equipped with a practical shower arrangement: a separate door can be folded in front of the wooden elements, protecting them from spray water while showering.

The interior presents a fresh and well-maintained appearance. All upholstery and mattresses have been renewed, contributing significantly to the clean and comfortable feel throughout the yacht. The same fresh and well-kept impression can be found in the cockpit.

For easier sail handling, an electric winch handle is also on board. Together with the extensively modernized technical equipment, renewed sail wardrobe and continuous maintenance, “Emotion” combines the classic character of the HR 382 with a comprehensive range of modern components.
