Comfort and interior (The 3-Cabin layout)
The addition '-3' refers directly to the layout below deck, which makes optimal use of the ship's volume:
Sleeping berths: There are 3 fixed double cabins (one in the bow and two identical cabins in the stern). Additionally, the saloon sofa can often be used as an extra berth, providing space for a maximum of 6 to 7 people.
Saloon: Spacious and bright thanks to the many deck hatches and windows. Equipped with a cozy seating area with a large sofa and a large coffee table.
- Galley & Navigation Corner: To port is a functional longitudinal galley with a refrigerator, a 2-burner stove, and an oven. To starboard is the navigation corner with the chart table and the switch panel.
- Wet room: Equipped with a toilet and washbasin.
Rigging and deck characteristics
- Ease of operation: To make sailing as comfortable as possible, there is a fully battened mainsail and a roller genoa. All halyards and sheets are led to the cockpit, so you can operate the sails from the safety of the cockpit.
- Cockpit and transom: The cockpit is ergonomically designed with a steering wheel. The aft section (transom) features an open-passage swim platform, which facilitates access to the water or the dinghy. [ 1 , 2 ]
- Teak: This model is equipped with atmospheric teak on the cockpit benches and the cockpit floor.
Motorization
This Bavaria 36-3 is equipped with a reliable diesel engine, a Volvo Penta with approx. 29 hp, coupled to a saildrive. This power is more than sufficient to motor comfortably, even against headwinds and currents.
