Notes
1979 Amel Mango, EUR 80,000
For sale in Le Marin, Martinique: a 1979 Amel Mango Ketch built by the renowned French yard Amel to Henri Carteau's design.
A solid and capable bluewater cruising yacht, designed for serious offshore sailing, long-distance passages, and comfortable life aboard. The Amel Mango is a respected classic among ocean cruisers, known for her robust construction, protected cockpit, practical layout, and true long-range cruising spirit.
Same ownership for the past eight years. The owner is now retiring from sailing due to age, and the boat is ready for her next chapter
The interior is in genuinely good condition, with original Amel woodwork well preserved, clean, functional, and full of character. Cosmetically, she shows her age, as expected from a 1979 yacht that has lived in the Caribbean, but she has been thoroughly deep-cleaned and presents well.
She is not a modern production boat. She is a strong, proven, classic Amel bluewater cruiser with excellent foundations, generous volume, serious autonomy, and the kind of practical offshore design that made Amel yachts so respected among long-distance sailors.
