The seller does not reply

No response from the advertiser. What could be the reason for this?

- Did you really enter a valid telephone number?
- Was your email address perhaps incomplete, were there typing errors?
- Did the seller even have enough time to reply?
- Perhaps the seller is currently negotiating with other interested parties?
- Perhaps the boat has already been sold?
- The seller will usually get back to you within a few days. If you do not receive an answer from the seller, simply send your inquiry again.

We know that: It's very annoying if you don't receive a response to an inquiry!

Unfortunately, we have no control over whether and when a seller replies to emails. For data protection reasons, it is not possible for us to give out contact information to interested parties. Please understand that we cannot contact the seller on your behalf.

Is there a template for the purchase contract?

Yes, to protect both parties, we recommend the use of a sales contract for boat sales. You can download a sample sales contract template from our website.

How to log in to your personal account:

My boat has been sold. What do I have to do now?

If your boat has been sold, you can either hide or delete the ad. You will find the options for this in your user account next to your ad.

How can I create an account on Boat24?

To create an account on Boat24, you need a valid email address, your first and last name and a personal password. Registration is free and can be done online at any time.

How can I delete my account?

If you no longer need your account, you can delete it, provided there are no active/inactive ads or outstanding invoices. Select the "Delete account" option in the user menu.

How can I contact Boat24?

Why do I need a personal account with Boat24?

A personal account allows you to enter, edit, activate, show, hide and delete multiple ads. You can also view your ad statistics, save searches, manage favorites, view invoices and manage personal data and email settings.

What does it cost to publish an ad on Boat24?

The costs for an ad on Boat24 vary depending on the duration, selling price of your boat and additional selling options booked. There is a fixed price with no additional costs or commissions. Details can be found in our price list.

Can I activate my ad immediately or later?

Yes, you can activate your ad immediately or save the draft in your account to activate it later. You can edit, activate or delete your ad at any time.

Can I publish an ad without photos?

Yes, that is possible. However, ads without photos usually receive less attention. You can add photos at any time.

How can I renew or reactivate an old ad?

To reactivate an old ad, log in to your Boat24 account and activate the ad using the corresponding button. If you need help, please contact our support team.

Is it possible to edit or change my ad afterwards?

Yes, you can edit your ad at any time in your account, both active and inactive ads. Please note that changes to the category or title (with certain exceptions) are not possible.

How can I hide my ad?

After selling your boat, you can either hide or delete the ad in your user account. You will find the corresponding options next to your ad.

How can I delete my ad?

To delete your ad, log in to your user account and click on "Delete ad" to the right of your ad. Then confirm that you really want to delete the ad.

Will I receive a refund of the advertising costs if my boat is sold before the end of the term?

No, according to our General Terms and Conditions, refunds of advertising costs are excluded. The service provided by Boat24 is deemed to have been rendered as soon as your ad has been approved for publication.

Do I have to cancel my ad?

No, you do not need to cancel your ad. At the end of the booked term, your ad will be automatically deactivated. You will be notified by email and can extend the ad if necessary.

Can the duration of an ad be interrupted?

No, it is not possible to interrupt the duration of an ad that has already been published. You can hide the ad from the search results to avoid receiving any further inquiries. This function has no influence on the duration of the booked term.

I can't upload any photos. What should I do?

Make sure that your photos are in *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.png or *.gif format. A maximum of 100 images can be uploaded per ad. If the file size is over 20 MB, please reduce it. If you continue to have problems, please send us the photos by WhatsApp to +41 325 121 409 or by email to [email protected].

Why can't I find my ad and how can I make sure it can be found?

To ensure that your ad is easy to find on Boat24, it is important that you use relevant and accurate search terms when creating the ad. Your ad will be found based on the search criteria you enter. Make sure you name the manufacturer, boat type and category correctly. Before creating your ad, think about what search terms potential buyers might use to find your boat.

How do I create, edit, extend or delete a saved search?

You can create, manage and delete saved searches in your Boat24 account yourself at any time. To edit your saved searches, go to the "Saved searches" menu item in your account.

What should I do if the boat I have bought has defects?

Boat24 is not responsible for the quality or condition of the boats offered. In case of defects, please contact the seller directly. Boat24 is not a contractual partner and cannot be involved in potential legal disputes.

Verified sellers

A verified seller is characterized by at least one of the following features:

- The seller receives their invoices by post and has already paid the first invoice.
- The account has been verified by SMS confirmation.
- Verify your account now and increase your confidence as a seller.
