An almost perfect symbiosis of craftsmanship and design shapes the striking appearance of the motor yachts built by this steel yard.
Without exaggeration: the Dutch yard Linssen was the one that made steel socially acceptable in series powerboat production. Although the "makers" at Linssen don't much like the term series boatbuilding, because they insist that every yacht is discussed down to the last detail with the customer beforehand. Accordingly, Linssen yachts are probably better classed as semi-custom.
Trawler yachts for rivers, canals or lakes
Linssen yachts are trawlers that are just as suitable for family cruising as they are for professional use. On lakes, rivers and canals, the distinctive silhouette of a Linssen yacht can be recognized from far away – anyone who buys a Linssen yacht acquires a piece of cult.
The Linssen yard is known for the careful selection of the respective equipment in its 18 models (as of 2020). All the fine woods used below deck are environmentally certified. Numerous patented inventions, such as a floating floor to minimize vibration, bear witness to the high willingness to innovate and the expertise of the yard and its staff. Having a say in the layout and fit-out goes without saying at Linssen.
With an area of a good 45,000 m², the Linssen yard is an impressive complex. Production takes place entirely in-house, spread across the two sites in Maasbracht and Echt.
Expertise where it is needed
Linssen shows plenty of expertise above all at the "base". As is well known, and not only in the case of steel boats: the hull construction is decisive for the quality of boats and ships. Typical of the design of Linssen yachts is the balanced interplay of longitudinal and transverse members on the bottom of the hull (web frames, frames, bulkheads and stringers), which are fitted half into/over one another at the intersections (known as notching).
This increases stability and at the same time ensures that the entire structure can be protected against corrosion more easily.
Fundamentally, Linssen yachts stand for the very finest Dutch boatbuilding craftsmanship, and not only in the area of the "steel hull". A distinction that we, as a used boat broker, can award without reservation. Anyone who buys a used Linssen yacht gets a piece of "freedom" with a high resale value.
