As the shipyard's name suggests, the Four Winns yard was founded by the four Winn brothers in the early 1960s and run successfully for decades. From the turn of the millennium until the economically difficult years around 2008, the yard ran into financial trouble. In 2014, the French boatbuilding group Bénéteau took over the traditional American company without fundamentally changing the design and equipment of Four Winns boats. No surprise there: Four Winns boats have always had an unmistakable European touch.

To this day, Four Winns stands for affordable, high-quality sport boats. From the Bowrider and surf and tow boats to luxurious cabin cruisers for extended holiday trips on inland lakes, rivers and along the coast, the range is typically American, with a focus on sportiness and functionality.
