1969 Storebro Solö Ruff, EUR 15,800

A Swedish classic in excellent condition.

Category: C
We’re talking about a true Swedish classic here! The “Solö Ruff” (or “Flush,” as it’s also known) is likely one of the most sought-after classic wooden boats produced by Swedish shipyards. Production of these boats began back in 1952 at AB Örnmaskiner in Vimmerby, which later changed its name to the prestigious Storebro Bruks AB following an acquisition. Designer Einar Runen succeeded in creating an immortal classic model, which was produced in a run of approximately 600 units and sold successfully not only on the Swedish market but also internationally; In the English-speaking market, the model was sold under the name "Sea Chaser," and in the German market as "Adler Vorderkajütkreuzer" or "Adler Boot-Typ Solö." The model underwent several revisions, resulting in four distinct versions with clear design features that set them apart. The most popular were versions III and IV, when the hull length and width were increased, and the side window was redesigned with two squares in a beautiful flaring line. In version IV boats, the cabin was reversed, and the helm was on the left side. The cabin’s living space is unmatched even by today’s standards, and below deck there is a spacious V-shaped sleeping area. The beautiful hull lines designed by Einar Runiu are truly eye-catching, so you’ll attract plenty of attention as you sail in style.
This "Solö Ruff," HANUMAN, has been owned by the current owner since early 2020. It is build number 823 and has undergone a tasteful renovation. As one of the best Solö Ruff boats on the market, you’ll sleep comfortably in the cabin on thick pillows. Over the past two seasons, the boat has proven itself while cruising the Curonian Lagoon, and it’s now waiting for a new owner because I have too many wooden boats and, unfortunately, I can’t keep up with them all.
