Er zijn weinig stuurcorrecties nodig om de kotter op koers te houden en met een 159 PK sterke Vetus -Deutz en de hydraulische boeg- en hekschroef krijgt u de SK Kotter op elke gewenste ligplaats. En dan is de Lady-M ook nog voorzien van een spudpaal. Het voordeel hiervan is dat u zelf een ligplaats kan kiezen en niet afhankelijk bent van bijvoorbeeld een steiger of kademuur, bovendien komt het "krabben" zoals bij het gebruik van een anker, bij een spudpaal niet voor.
