Due to our age, we would like to part with our cutter, a Saga 27.
The motor yacht was put into service in 2001, making it one of the last in this series. It is in good condition and is powerfully equipped with a 75 hp Yanmar marine diesel engine (which we have come to appreciate when traveling upstream on rivers). The engine is serviced annually at a workshop (however, a complete set of tools is available on board). For us, the journey has always been the destination, and our fuel consumption during our cruises is 1-2 liters of diesel per hour. The boat is robustly built, making it suitable for trips in coastal waters and, for example, on Lake Müritz on windy days.
Comfort and smooth running of the engine are important to us, so we have replaced the rigid connection between the gearbox and the shaft with a flexible connection and a maintenance-free shaft seal. We were able to achieve even smoother running by replacing the three-bladed propeller with a four-bladed propeller (manufactured by a foundry in Bremen).
The boat is very suitable for young families. The cutter shape offers safety and the separate sleeping cabin allows children and parents to rest.
On days when anchored, the power supply is ensured by two comfort batteries and a flexible solar panel (important for the compressor refrigerator).
A two-burner gas stove with a spare bottle and a complete set of household items make the Saga 27 ready for vacation right away.
The summer tarpaulin has only been in use for a few weeks.
Our dinghy (Doering Aquarius 225), piggybacked on the bathing platform and therefore easy and quick to handle, makes it perfect. It allows you to go ashore anywhere and provides additional sailing pleasure, similar to an "Opti."
After a thorough briefing and test run, the boat will be handed over ready for travel by arrangement.
