Designed for demanding cruising sailors, the yacht impresses with her high-quality craftsmanship, robust interior joinery, and safe, functional deck layout. All lines are led aft to the cockpit, allowing the “Chuita” to be handled easily by a small crew or even single-handed. The protected center cockpit offers generous space, excellent visibility, and provides a reassuring sense of safety even in more challenging conditions. The bathing platform at the stern ensures comfortable access to the water.
Stepping into the saloon, one is welcomed by a spacious and inviting living area with an elevated seating arrangement and the panoramic views typical of pilot saloon yachts. Large window surfaces provide abundant natural light and create a pleasant atmosphere below deck. The classic, high-quality interior reflects the solid craftsmanship for which Wauquiez is respected worldwide. The galley is located to port and is comprehensively equipped with generous work surfaces, a double sink, stove, oven, two refrigerators, and ample storage space for extended stays on board.
Aft, the spacious owner’s cabin extends across the full beam of the yacht and features a comfortable island berth as well as plenty of storage space. Adjacent to the cabin is a private en-suite bathroom with a separate shower compartment. In the forepeak, guests will find another generous cabin, also equipped with its own en-suite bathroom. The intelligently designed layout and excellent headroom create a sense of space rarely found on a yacht of this size.
Since delivery, the “Chuita” has had only two owners and has always been carefully maintained and professionally cared for. Following her return from the Caribbean, the yacht underwent extensive technical and cosmetic upgrades in Tenerife and is now presented in a very well-maintained and ready-to-sail condition. Particularly noteworthy are the significant investments made into the vessel: the complete rigging was renewed, the underwater hull received fresh antifouling, and all through-hulls including valves were replaced. Another major advantage is that the original teak deck has already been removed — often a considerable cost factor on yachts of this generation. The deck has been professionally coated with a modern anti-slip finish, resulting in a durable, low-maintenance, and highly practical surface with a clean and purposeful appearance.
In summary, the “Chuita” is a rare and solidly built deck saloon yacht with classic character, excellent long-distance cruising comfort, and impressive sailing performance. She is ideally suited for sailors seeking a safe, high-quality, and extensively upgraded bluewater cruiser — whether for extended Mediterranean cruising, Atlantic crossings, or comfortable long-term living aboard.
Another advantage is the excellent accessibility of the berth. The yacht is located in Tenerife and is only about a ten-minute drive from Tenerife South Airport (TFS). Year-round direct flights are available from numerous German airports, including Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Munich, and Hanover. This makes viewing the yacht or travelling to use her both quick and convenient.
If desired, a professional delivery of the yacht to the Mediterranean can also be arranged.
