S/Y Yaramaz – 8 Metre R Yacht (1912)

A rare opportunity to acquire a unique piece of Scandinavian maritime heritage.
S/Y Yaramaz, is an iconic 8 Metre R Yacht, designed by Henning Haglund and built at the Neglinge shipyard in Stockholm 1912. Originally commissioned by KSSS, The Royal Swedish Sailing Socity for the 1912 Olympic Games, she first sailed under the name KSSS 1912 before being won in a lottery by the Turkish minister in Stockholm, who named her Yaramaz before disappearing without a trace in the first world war.
Lovingly owned by the same family since 1982, Yaramaz has been carefully maintained and sympathetically restored by skilled craftsmen. Original drawings remain, along with documentation of updates over time.

Labeled as “culturally and historically valuable” by the Swedish Maritime history museum.
Her light beige-painted mahogany hull, combined with a beautiful Oregon pine deck and a cabin skylight, gives her a warm and timeless character. The interior is largely original, featuring a bright and inviting saloon with seating on both sides, a foldable dining table for four, a gas stove, built-in water tank, and electric cooler.
A cherished family vessel, now offered with great reluctance. The owners are keen to find a new custodian who will continue to care for her with the same dedication.
