1994 Van de Stadt 39, EUR 69,000

GEBA 39 is a robust and exceptionally well-equipped 39-foot steel sailing yacht designed for serious cruising and long-distance adventures. Built to a Van de Stadt design by Ballhausen in northern Germany, she combines a strong multi-chine steel hull with a moderate long keel, skeg-hung rudder and cutter rig, making her a reassuring and capable offshore platform.

She has crossed the Atlantic twice and spent many years cruising the Mediterranean, including Spain, France, Italy, Turkey and Greece. Since 2010, she has been based predominantly in Greek waters and has been regularly wintered ashore, allowing her owners to carry out continuous maintenance and upgrades.

Her 65 HP Mercedes-Benz OM616 diesel engine has approximately 6500 hours and has been professionally maintained throughout its life. The yacht has also benefited from significant recent upgrades, including a 560 Ah LiFePO4 house battery bank, 600 W solar array, watermaker, radar and other electrical and navigation equipment renewed between 2021 and 2023.

The generous centre cockpit with hard dodger, Bimini and full enclosure provides excellent protection and comfort in a wide range of weather conditions, while the large cockpit table can be converted into an additional outdoor sleeping area.

Below deck, the yacht offers a warm and traditional mahogany interior with a spacious salon, fully equipped galley, two cabins and two heads, making her well suited to both family cruising and extended stays aboard.

Her equipment inventory is particularly comprehensive, including a Seldén cutter rig, Furlex furlers, multiple sails, substantial anchoring equipment, autopilot, radar, AIS, SSB, GPS, wind and depth instruments, solar panels, wind generator, portable generator, diesel heating and extensive safety equipment.

A 3 m Hypalon dinghy with outboard, diving compressor and full diving equipment, davits, BBQ and a large collection of tools, spares and cruising equipment are also included.

GEBA 39 is an ideal choice for sailors looking for a proven, self-sufficient and comfortable cruising yacht with the equipment and capability to leave the marina and embark on extended voyages without a long list of unfinished projects.
