nasce come gruppo sportivo nel 2018 dall?idea di alcuni soci della società velica Triestina Sport Del Mare,di creare un gruppo di atleti semi professionisti e non, per avviare un progetto a lungo termine di regate importanti e anche di livello internazionale.
Il 2018 e stato un anno di rodaggio e di studio per il FANATIC Sailing Team, dove l?equipaggio doveva appena cominciare a conoscersi e ad affiatarsi
essendo un gruppo misto di atleti che arrivava da Trieste, Udine, e Grado, e ciò nonostante abbiamo avuto una stagione con buonissimi risultati. Ma e in quest?anno 2019 che il TEAM ha fatto una stagione veramente eccezionale, iniziando vincendo la COPPA PRIMAVERA di Muggia, 1° classificato Trieste S.Giovanni in Pelago Trieste, 1° classificato Trofeo 2 Fari, 1° classificato alla Graesana (Grado),2° classificato Trofeo C.R.A.L. Insiel, 2° classificato trofeo Finozzi, 2° classificato Trofeo 2 Castelli, 2° categoria Trofeo Bernetti, e per finire: 5° assoluto, 1° categoria, e 1° equipaggio italiano tutto F.V.G. al traguardo della manifestazione velica più grande al mondo la BARCOLANA 51.
