Der LASER 3000 ist eine moderne Autodach-Skiff-Jolle mit U-Schiff vom LASER 2 und neuer Decksform mit größerem Platzangebot, MYLAR Groß und DACRON-Fock. Der Mast ist 6.20m lang, allerdings nicht teilbar. Er darf aber beim Autodachtransport hinten überstehen, wenn man eine rote Fahne daran befestigt. Erlaubt sind bis zu 3! Metern. Der Gennaker-Baum fährt beim Setzen selbständig vorn aus und beim Bergen wieder selb- ständig ein. Beim Halsen zieht man den Gennaker ganz leicht mit der Schot auf die andere Seite, genauso wie die Fock, denn der Gennaker-Baum bleibt bei der Halse ein- fach stehen. Mit dem asymmetrischen Gennaker fährt man nicht mehr platt vorm Wind sondern kreuzt raumschots mit maximalem Speed und mehr FUN auf gleicher Höhe oder leicht nach Lee. Dadurch kann man die meiste Zeit auf d e n Kursen verbringen, die beim Segeln den größten Spaß bringen, nämlich Halbwind und Raumschot, wie es die Windssurfer den ganzen Tag machen. Zum Bergen mit dem Einleinensystem wird der Gennaker in eine Spi-Trompete aus wasserdurchlässigem Gewebe gezogen, die vom Bug neben dem Mast nach hinten verlegt ist. Das Boot ist mit Rollfock und Trapez ausgestattet. Das Großsegel hat eine Reff-Reihe. Der LASER 3000 ist seit langen eines der interessantesten und schönsten Boote, bei dem man mit 2 nicht zu schweren Seglern den maximalen Spaß haben kann. Er kann auch mit etwas Übung allein gesegelt werden, durch die Reff-Möglichkeiten sogar bei stärkerem Wind.

The LASER 3000 is a modern car-roof skiff dinghy featuring the U-hull from the LASER 2 and a new deck design with more space, a MYLAR mainsail, and a DACRON jib. The mast is 6.20 m long but cannot be split. However, it may protrude from the rear during car-roof transport if a red flag is attached to it. Up to 3 meters is permitted. The gennaker boom extends automatically forward when hoisted and retracts automatically when lowered. When jibing, you simply pull the gennaker very lightly with the sheet to the other side, just like the jib, because the gennaker boom simply stays in place during the jibe. With the asymmetrical gennaker, you no longer sail dead into the wind but instead tack broad reach at maximum speed and with more FUN, either level with the wind or slightly leeward. This allows you to spend most of your time on the courses that are the most fun while sailing—namely, half-wind and broad reach—just as windsurfers do all day long. To furl the gennaker using the single-line system, it is pulled into a spinnaker tube made of water-permeable fabric, which is routed from the bow next to the mast toward the stern. The boat is equipped with a furling jib and a trapeze. The mainsail has a reefing line. The LASER 3000 has long been one of the most interesting and beautiful boats, offering maximum fun with two sailors who aren’t too heavy. With a little practice, it can also be sailed solo, and thanks to its reefing options, even in stronger winds.
