We all know it: most yachts have something like a soul. But the Faurbys also have character!

Slender beauties
For decades, Faurby yachts stood – very much in the Scandinavian tradition – for exceptionally slender yachts. Much like the legendary skerry cruiser classics, Faurbys were synonymous with "typically Nordic": great sailing qualities upwind, but rather restrained on reaching courses. In return, you sail a true feast for the eyes, a perfect match for the Nordic coastal landscapes.
Since 2014, Faurby has countered the inevitably more limited space aboard the Danish yard's yachts with more freeboard and therefore more headroom.
Only a few yachts a year
At the Faurby yard, true master craftsmen are at work. They combine traditional boatbuilding craft with modern technology in exemplary fashion. Accordingly, only 10 to 15 yachts a year are built – not for lack of orders, but … simply because that's the better way!
Without exaggeration: quality comes first at this yard. As with custom yachts, every new yacht is closely coordinated with its future owner through all planning and construction phases. The results are equipped just as individually. True to the motto: a Faurby is always something special.
Genuine boatbuilding craft
The hull of every Faurby is molded in one piece. The wooden decks are elaborately sanded, and the interior joinery borders on perfection. A few (by no means self-evident) details you'll find on every Faurby: corners and frames are made of solid wood, the hull frame is made of galvanized steel, double skylights in the coachroof, a hand-laid teak deck without screws, bulkheads laminated firmly to the hull, halyards "hidden" in the coachroof, and every yacht can be fitted with a self-tacking jib (shorthanded).
The Faurby yard works closely with Nordship-Yacht. Both yards share production halls and technology.
