OPEN FOR BIDS
We are offering a truly unique boat with plenty of character and an exciting history. The vessel was built by the current owner’s husband between 1973 and approximately 1980 as a Colin Archer-inspired motor-sailer with a short bowsprit. It is a striking, charming, and spacious vessel, with full headroom in the cabin, constructed of ferrocement with a wooden superstructure and deckhouse, as well as a wooden mast and boom.
Over the years, the boat has served various purposes and has, among other things, been used as a houseboat in Helsingør. The seller’s husband later repurchased the boat with the intention of undertaking a major renovation, which was carried out between 2023 and 2025. The renovation includes, among other things, a new water tank, new pipes, new batteries, a new mechanical ventilation system, interior and exterior painting, and much more. Unfortunately, the owner passed away before the project was fully completed, and the boat is therefore now being sold as a project to be continued.
A fair amount of work is expected to be required to finish and secure the boat; for example, there are areas in the deck that show signs of moisture penetration. On the other hand, the engine starts and runs smoothly, and the boat offers a solid foundation for a buyer seeking a unique vessel with potential—whether as a tour boat, an alternative recreational boat, or perhaps continued use as a houseboat where conditions permit.
For the past 20 years or so, the vessel has been used as a tour boat and a year-round houseboat.
Data provided by the owner:
A berth at Bogø Harbor may be included.
A rare find for the right buyer who appreciates handcrafted maritime history, classic lines, and a vessel with soul.
