Chassiron 38 GT “MAKANI” – Classic, Ocean-Going Bluewater Long-Keel Cruiser

We are selling our MAKANI, a Chassiron 38 GT, built in 1980.
MAKANI is a beautiful, exceptionally solidly built long-keel cruiser, comprehensively equipped for bluewater and offshore sailing.

The boat is currently located in Preveza on the Ionian Sea, Greece.
If desired, MAKANI can be delivered to any location in the Mediterranean.
We’ll simply make a sailing trip out of it :-)
Alternatively, taking over the current berth at Marina Cleopatra in Preveza, just 5 minutes from Aktion Airport, is guaranteed.

Chassiron yachts are renowned for their exceptionally robust construction. The hull is approximately 2–3 cm thick, bonded with epoxy resin, providing a high level of safety and structural strength. The rig is also very substantial and designed for offshore use.
The superstructure and interior are made of mahogany and teak. The hull is free of osmosis and has been extensively maintained and refitted over the years.
There is no significant maintenance backlog, apart from the mainsail, which should be replaced in the medium term.
The extensive equipment includes, among other things, a watermaker, a modern 48 V electric motor, bow thruster, full boat cover, and a completely renewed Simrad autopilot in 2026.
