The current “Santa Cecilia” was designed by the renowned ship designer Knud Reimers and was first launched in Sweden in 1938 as the “Majsa IV.” In the late 1980s, the boat was sold to Germany, where the current owner purchased it in 2004 on the Schlei
and brought it to Hamburg on the Elbe.

From day one, the current owner has placed great importance on the care and preservation of the Santa Cecilia. Shortly after the purchase, in 2005, he had a new, reliable engine installed. From then on, the boat was maintained by a shipyard until the decision was made in 2015 to completely overhaul it. For example, the floor frames were replaced, and planks in the underwater hull were renewed. The outer keel and a large portion of the stem were also replaced. In addition, all fittings were re-chromed, and nearly all exterior woodwork was stripped and completely repainted. To ensure the electrical system was safe and reliable, it was extensively overhauled and partially replaced.

The Santa Cecilia has now returned to the place where her current owner acquired her. Following some damage, repairs were carried out at a shipyard on the Schlei, during which nearly all exterior painted surfaces were repainted.

The Santa Cecilia is in very good condition and is now seeking an owner who will continue to appreciate and care for her. Please feel free to contact us to schedule a viewing or for further information about the boat.

The sale is being conducted on behalf of the client from the owner’s private collection, with no warranty for material defects, and is being brokered by us as yacht brokers.
