Stamper is a 1991 Taswell 43, built by Ta Shing Yacht Building in Taiwan, a shipyard known for the quality and craftsmanship of its bluewater yachts.
The Taswell 43 is a well-proven cruising yacht, combining solid construction with a surprisingly comfortable and spacious interior. Stamper features the highly regarded raised salon, a spacious owner’s cabin and excellent protection from the elements thanks to her center-cockpit design.
At the end of 2019, Stamper changed ownership in Portimão, Portugal, following an independent survey. We became her third owners. Having previously owned a steel sailing yacht, we were impressed from the very first viewing by her solid construction, beautiful interior, practical layout and exceptionally comfortable living spaces.
Since then, we have invested considerable time and attention in bringing the yacht to her current condition. Deferred maintenance has been addressed, and numerous components have been repaired, renewed or improved. A detailed maintenance and improvement log, together with additional technical documentation, is available to serious prospective buyers.
We have mainly used Stamper for shorter sailing trips. She is a very comfortable yacht both under sail and under power, with excellent protection from the elements and good sailing performance. Her powerful engine handles challenging conditions, including strong winds and waves, with ease.
The previous owner sailed Stamper across the Atlantic to the Caribbean, where she subsequently spent several years. She therefore has a genuine bluewater history.
Following the passing of her owner in 2023, Stamper is unfortunately now looking for a new owner who will appreciate her quality, comfort and proven character as an ocean-going cruiser. Since then, the boat has continued to be used for several weeks each year as a holiday home and has been carefully maintained and improved. The engine and fuel system have also received due attention. Stamper is now in the best condition she has been in since we bought her in 2019 and, following the usual preparations, is ready to return to the water.
Stamper is currently ashore at Port Napoléon marina, Southern France.
