Die 8 mm starke Aluminium-Rumpfkonstruktion ist extrem stabil. Der Rumpf wurde in der Vergangenheit mehrfach sandgestrahlt und mit professionellen Epoxidbeschichtungen und Lackierungen behandelt. Das Unterwasserschiff wurde mit einer INERT-Epoxidbeschichtung versehen, wie sie heute bei Schiffen in der Eisschifffahrt verwendet wird. Im Jahr 2017 wurde der Aluminiumrumpf vor einer mehrmonatigen Atlantikreise nach Norwegen und Schottland von einem Sachverständigen mittels Ultraschallmessung überprüft.
