1989 Moody 425, EUR 80,000
This Moody 425 has been extensively maintained and upgraded, with winter storage ashore. The hull is GRP and is reported to have no known osmosis or blistering, while no structural repairs have been reported. Propulsion is provided by a 54 HP Yanmar with approximately 5,000 hours, paired with a gearbox replaced at the same time. The engine has been regularly maintained by Yanmar, with no oil consumption reported between services.
The ketch rigging was replaced and later inspected by a Kemp-approved technician. Sail inventory includes a 2014 mainsail, a restitched staysail, an older 130% genoa in good condition, an additional 100% genoa, drifter and lightly used spinnaker. Navigation and communications equipment comprises Raymarine chartplotter, autopilot and radar, an AIS Type B transceiver, Icom SSB, VHF and EPIRB. A Bruntons Autoprop, new propeller shaft and new cutless bearing are also fitted.
Accommodation and onboard systems include new upholstery, extensive teak carpentry finished with seven coats of International varnish, 16,000 BTU air conditioning and a watermaker producing approximately 50 litres per hour. The galley has a new oven and cooker, Corian worktops, refrigerator, freezer and an additional small refrigerator. Electrical equipment includes 500 Ah domestic and 180 Ah engine battery banks, Sterling alternator-to-battery management, a new Victron 50 A shore charger, 700 W inverter and three solar panels. The inventory also includes a 10 ft aluminium RIB with a Yamaha 6 HP outboard, life raft, anchors, approximately 100 m of 10 mm chain, tools and spare parts.
