Deze Koopmans Roeder is een schip met een houten kuip, opbouw en betimmering. Het casco is gebouwd bij Kuijper in Schoorldam. De eerste eigenaar heeft het vervolgens met liefde en vakmanschap afgebouwd. Het schip heeft mooie one-off details. Het houtwerk van Java-teak maakt een warm interieur. Met de warmte van de reflex-kachel is een gezellig en comfortabel verblijf in de winter gegarandeerd.
Het schip is compleet. Kompas, AIS, radar, reddingsvlot voor extra veiligheid. Windvaan, Raymarine stuurautomaat, rolfok en spinnaker voor meer zeilplezier. Grote water (RVS 125L) - en dieseltank (80L). Handpomp-toilet. Koelbox met eigen compressor. Victron 165Ah accu. Buiskap met aan te ritsen kuiptent, korte dektent van mast tot spiegel, volledig afdekzeil voor het schip. Drie tenten om uit te kiezen.
Verlichting binnen is allemaal LED. Toplichten ook.
Het schip is onder zeil en op motorkracht erg betrouwbaar. De goede zeileigenschappen, waar Koopmans om bekend staat, merk je gelijk wanneer de wind toeneemt en de golven hoger of steiler beginnen te worden. Koersvast en het onderwaterschip splijt het water voor een voorspelbare en ritmische beweging aan de wind. Dat geeft ook een veilig gevoel, waardoor je niet gespannen hoeft te zijn om de korte golven van het IJsselmeer even te moeten verduren of op de Waddenzee een wind-tegen-stroom-situatie tegen te komen. Het schip heeft een Bukh DV20-motor. Het is een simpele maar sterke direct gekoelde twee cilinder die ook handmatig gestart kan worden indien nodig. RVS 6mm verstaging van januari 2016.

Het schip zal aandacht blijven behoeven. Zo zijn er op dit moment plekken waar roest aangepakt moet worden, maar dit is vooral aan dek. Het onderwaterschip is hard van binnen en buiten. Het schip zoekt iemand die bereid is te investeren om zo’n mooie Koopmans 100 jaar oud te laten worden. Fok is zo goed als nieuw. Grootzeil ok. Motor is netjes onderhouden. Laatste antifouling 2024.

The boat is very reliable under sail and under engine power. The excellent sailing characteristics, for which Koopmans is renowned, are immediately noticeable when the wind picks up and the waves start to get higher or steeper. It holds its course well, and the hull cuts through the water for a predictable and rhythmic motion close to the wind. This also provides a sense of security, so you don’t have to worry about briefly enduring the short waves of the IJsselmeer or encountering a wind-against-current situation on the Wadden Sea. The boat is equipped with a Bukh DV20 engine. It is a simple but robust, direct-cooled two-cylinder engine that can also be started manually if necessary. 6mm stainless steel rigging installed in January 2016.

The boat will continue to require attention. For example, there are currently areas where rust needs to be addressed, but this is mainly on deck. The hull is solid inside and out. The boat is looking for someone willing to invest in helping this beautiful Koopmans reach its 100th anniversary. The jib is as good as new. Mainsail is in good condition. The engine has been well maintained. Last antifouling in 2024.
