Hallberg-Rassy 31 – ZonnevaarWell-maintained Hallberg-Rassy 31 from 2005The Hallberg-Rassy 31 Zonnevaar is a beautifully lined and solidly built sailing yacht from the Swedish quality shipyard Hallberg-Rassy. This 2005 example is one of the last MK I versions of this popular model and combines the distinctive classic appearance with a practical layout and excellent sailing characteristics.

The yacht is largely in its original condition and is in good to very good condition for its age. The current owner has owned the vessel since 2021 and has had annual technical maintenance carried out, indoor winter storage, and the teak deck treated. The antifouling has also been renewed annually. The maintenance history and workshop records are available, so that the future owner gets a clear picture of the maintenance performed.

Comfortable interior and practical layoutThe Hallberg-Rassy 31 offers an atmospheric, classic interior with wooden finishes, blue upholstery, and a saloon with a central table and two sofas. The layout features a forward cabin, an aft cabin, and a lockable wet room. With a headroom of approximately 1.88 meters, six berths, and a galley, the vessel is suitable for a comfortable stay on board and for longer sailing trips.

The galley is equipped with a two-burner Optimus stove with oven, an electric Isotherm refrigerator of approximately 12 liters with a 4-liter freezer compartment, and Webasto forced-air heating. The water supply consists of a 190-liter stainless steel water tank and a 22-liter boiler. The holding tank has a capacity of 50 liters.

Volvo Penta diesel engineThe propulsion is a Volvo Penta MD 2020-D BT three-cylinder diesel engine with a power output of 19 hp (14 kW) and has 715 engine hours on the meter. The engine is equipped with a saildrive with a folding propeller. The saildrive seal was replaced in 2021. The engine underwent its final maintenance in the spring of 2026. The batteries and battery cables were renewed in 2026.

Rigging and sailing equipmentThe mast and rigging were last inspected in April 2026, during winter storage. The Elvström dacron mainsail is from 2005. It has a surface area of 25.3 m² and is battened. The roller genoa was supplied by De Vries Sails in 2021 and has a surface area of approximately 20 m². Additionally, a storm jib is present.

Navigation, comfort and safetyA complete basic navigation equipment is available on board, including a GPS, chart plotter, log/speedometer, depth sounder, wind meter, autopilot, and compass. Furthermore, the Hallberg-Rassy 31 features an electric bilge pump, a radar reflector, a life raft, and six automatic life jackets.

The vessel is equipped with shore power, a fixed battery charger, a battery monitor, and an inverter. The gas installation was last inspected in 2021. The portable VHF radio has been replaced with a new one.
