Historique et description
Commandée par MM. Maurice Pictet de Rochemont et Eugène Corte à l'architecte François Camatte, FREYA sort du chantier naval Attilio Chiesa et fils, à Cannes en 1932.
FREYA navigue tout de suite sur le Léman. Elle participe à de nombreuses régates et compte ainsi à son palmarès :
1940 : 2ème du Bol d'Or (Frank L'Huillier),
1941 : Vainqueur du Bol d'Or (Frank L'Huillier),
1942 : Vainqueur du Bol d'Or (Frank L'Huillier),
1947 : Champion du Léman (Victor Noverraz).
A partir des années 60, FREYA sort du circuit des yachts de course et navigue sur le Lac de Constance.
En 2001 d'importants travaux de rénovation (doublage des bordés par 3 plis croisés, ouverture du cockpit, nouveau pont en teck, installation d'un moteur in-board) sont menés.
FREYA naviguera ensuite sur le Lac de Thoune, avant de revenir en 2010 sur le Léman, à La Tour-de-Peilz.
En 2015 FREYA se voit offrir un lifting complet et environ 50 ans après l'avoir quitté, revient sur le Petit-Lac.
Depuis, elle a été maintenue avec passion par le chantier naval Ygor Yachting, à Villeneuve.
Elle est actuellement amarrée à Founex.

History and Description
Commissioned by Maurice Pictet de Rochemont and Eugène Corte from architect François Camatte, FREYA was launched from the Attilio Chiesa & Sons shipyard in Cannes in 1932.
FREYA immediately began sailing on Lake Geneva. She competed in numerous regattas and achieved the following results:
1940: 2nd place in the Bol d’Or (Frank L’Huillier),
1941: Winner of the Bol d’Or (Frank L’Huillier),
1942: Winner of the Bol d’Or (Frank L’Huillier),
1947: Lake Geneva Champion (Victor Noverraz).
Starting in the 1960s, FREYA withdrew from the racing circuit and sailed on Lake Constance.
In 2001, major renovation work (reinforcing the hull plating with three layers of cross-laid planking, opening up the cockpit, installing a new teak deck, and fitting an inboard engine) was carried out.
FREYA then sailed on Lake Thun before returning to Lake Geneva in 2010, to La Tour-de-Peilz.
In 2015, FREYA underwent a complete refit and, some 50 years after leaving it, returned to the Petit-Lac.
Since then, she has been passionately maintained by the Ygor Yachting shipyard in Villeneuve.
She is currently moored in Founex.
