2024 Sunreef 60 Power ECO, EUR 5,800,000

Most motor yachts of this size burn through a full tank before they clear the Mediterranean. The Sunreef 60 Power ECO Double Happiness crossed the Atlantic on one. Launched in 2024, she took the Yachts Style Award 2025 in the Power Catamaran Above 15m category. She has since crossed the Atlantic.

On a typical cruising day, you will not hear engines which are upgraded from 2 x 80 kw to 2 x 120 kw. At anchor at night, you will not hear a generator. The 330 kWh battery bank runs 48 hours of normal use without charging. When you do need to top up, shore power handles it. When you are offshore, two Yanmar generators alternate to keep the bank full. The 10,000-litre fuel tank gives her a range of 5,000 nautical miles.

She is also, practically speaking, the right size. At 18.3 metres she fits comfortably in any marina. The 10.7 metre beam is wide enough to make her feel like a floating apartment, with 256 square metres of living space across a layout that sleeps eight guests in four cabins. She’s shallow enough in draft at 1.5 metres to access anchorages that deeper hulls have to bypass.

Cayman-flagged, commercially coded, and currently in Sardinia.

This is a yacht for someone who wants to move through the world on the water quietly, at range, with space to breathe.

Double Happiness runs on two 120 kW electric motors, 240 kW total. There is no combustion in the drivetrain. Fuel consumption at cruising speed is 15 litres per hour, a fraction of what a comparable diesel-powered motor yacht burns. Cruising speed is 7 knots. Maximum is 11 knots.

The honest comparison: a diesel catamaran of similar size can reach 15-16 knots, but those speeds are rarely comfortable and rarely used. Most of the time, captains cruise at 7-8 knots regardless. On Double Happiness, 7 knots means near-silence, minimal fuel draw, and full use of the battery buffer. The eco setup does require a captain who knows it, or Sunreef-certified training before departure. That is not a complication; it is a working practice, the same as any other system on a serious vessel.

When you want speed of a different kind, the Williams 435 jet tender with 130 hp is on the hydraulic platform at the stern. It runs to 90 km/h.

256 square metres. That is the living area of a large city apartment, distributed across two hulls and a main deck that opens in multiple directions.

The saloon is the centre of it. Full surround sound, a dining table for eight, a sofa with chaise longue, a bar with reverse osmosis drinking water, wine cooler, and a door that opens directly onto the foredeck when the breeze is right. The flybridge runs the full width of the boat: upper helm, barbecue station with fridge and ice maker, U-shaped seating, sunbeds, and two eight-man life rafts stowed neatly behind them.

Below, the four-cabin layout gives eight guests proper privacy. The master cabin is aft on the port hull, with its own larger ensuite, his-and-hers sinks, and a TV on a rise-and-fall mechanism. Three guest cabins each have their own ensuite. Forward, there are two crew cabins for a crew of three.

The galley is on the starboard hull: Siemens cooker, Liebherr fridge and freezer, Miele washer and dryer, dishwasher, dual ice makers. Practical and well-specified.

Double Happiness is registered under the Cayman Islands flag with a temporary admission for 18 months in Europe. She is currently under commercial registration but can be switched to private without difficulty.

She is commercially coded for charter and has run a full charter season. For a buyer who wants the boat to offset running costs, the charter market for this model is active and the vessel is already proven in that context.

Running costs benefit directly from the propulsion setup. The owner fuels her once a year. The combination of low fuel consumption, shore power charging, and a full-season charter income changes the operating economics meaningfully compared to a diesel vessel of equivalent size and comfort.

She has won four awards and crossed the Atlantic.
