The 2006 Funcraft 1500 is a striking steel motorboat with a distinctive look and a layout that invites long days on board. She was built as a ready-to-sail hull at V. Meijeren yard, with the design also by V. Meijeren. Over the years, comfort and ease of use have been consciously chosen, resulting in a spacious, warm-looking boat that feels at home on inland waterways, lakes and rivers. With a length of 15.00 metres, a beam of 4.50 metres and a draft of 1.15 metres, the Funcraft 1500 offers a stable platform, while her V-bottom contributes to a pleasant ride.


Inside, the generous headroom of approximately 2.05 metres immediately stands out. The interior is finished in cherry wood, giving her a classic, homely atmosphere. She has four fixed berths, making a weekend away or a longer holiday with family or friends well within reach. The accommodation is fully equipped with, among other things, a shower, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, cooker and mattresses. Hot water is provided via a 90-litre Vetus boiler, noticeably increasing comfort on board, especially after a day cruising or on a chilly morning.

She is equipped with two Volvo Penta TAMD 63 L inboard diesel engines of 320 hp each, electrically started and connected to electric engine controls. With twin engines, twin rudders and wheel steering from a dual helm station, manoeuvring feels straightforward, also in marinas and near bridges. Cruising speed is around 16 km/h and top speed around 24 km/h, fitting a comfortable steel motor yacht experience. The stated engine hours are approximately 210 per engine, which aligns with the story that she has seen little use due to circumstances.

On board you will find a complete set for navigation and control, including autopilot, depth sounder, log/speedometer and VHF radio. A forward-looking colour depth sounder from Echopilot is also mentioned, and instruments are also present on the flybridge, keeping navigation clear and manageable. For power supply there is shore power, battery charger, alternator, inverter and voltmeter, with a total of six batteries and a total capacity of approximately 700. The Whisper generator type 9 with 9 kVA is present and, according to the owner, has seen limited use. Anchoring is handled via an electrically operated anchor windlass with chain.
