Notes

2004 X-Yachts X-43, GBP 139,950

Well-equipped 2004 X-Yachts X-43 with ‘Classic’ 3-cabin, 2-heads interior layout and 2.59m sport keel. One owner since new, UK VAT-paid and offered for sale ready to go.

FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:

The X-Yachts X-43 is a modern cruiser-racer from the design board of Niels Jeppesen, a designer with over 2 decades of experience producing robust, stylish and comfortable performance yachts. A well-proven design, with 169 hulls produced over a 7-year production run, the X-43 has proved immensely capable whether cruising or racing around the cans.

Commissioned by her current owner, the X-43 SEANACHAIDH (meaning Story Teller in Gaelic) has cruised as far as the Spanish Mediterranean coast and is a familiar sight around the West Coast of Scotland. Specified to a high standard when new, she has benefited from continual maintenance and upgrading. Her inventory highlights include:
Topsides finished with Awlgrip 2000 Flag Blue, applied professionally by Silvers Marine in 2019
Optional ‘Sports’ keel, additional 300mm draft and larger bulb
Volvo Penta D2-55, 55hp marine diesel engine
Gori three blade, bronze folding prop (2026)
X-Yachts all carbon 1700mm steering wheel
Mastervolt Charger and Invertor
Raymarine EVO series autopilot
Raymarine E80 Classic MFD displays in cockpit and at chart table
Raymarine i60 navigation instruments
Raymarine 260E DSC VHF with handsets at nav station and in cockpit
Digital Yacht AIS (2019)
Force 10 galley range, 3 burner, grill and oven gas cooker, gimbal-mounted
Eberspacher D5 diesel-fired blown air heating system
Fusion MS-CD500 stereo head unit
Nord Mast carbon fibre mast and boom
Future Fibres composite standing rigging
Profurl roller reefing system
Extensive sail wardrobe
Lofrans Project 1000 Electric windlass

Lying afloat and in commission on her mooring in Badachro, Wester Ross, Scotland the X-Yachts X-43 SEANACHAIDH is available for viewing by prior arranagement.

MANUFACTURER’S COMMENTS:

This was another trendsetter for the marine industry and represented the start of a new generation of yacht design. Her hull lines were created by a pure downscaling of the stunning IMX 45. The X-43 was smoother, heavier and stiffer than the competition. All the boats were fractionally rigged and all featured built-in hull portlights

Production Years: 2003 — 2010 – Number Built: 169

PRESS REVIEWS:

“There has been a proliferation of new racer/cruisers in the 40-foot range. Some builders have returned to the genre after focusing on more cruising-oriented designs, but the Danish builder X-Yachts has been consistently turning out strong, stylish, comfortable performance boats for 25 years. Drawing from this deep well of experience, Niels Jeppesen’s new X-43 was reported to have all the ingredients—excellent performance, comfortable accommodations, high-quality construction—that people look for in a racer/cruiser.”
