1989 Monte Carlo 30, EUR 89,000
Carlo Riva, founder of the Riva shipyard, is the brains behind the concept of the MonteCarlo Offshorer in the 70s. Shortly after selling Riva to Bertram, Eng. Riva brought back an innovative idea from the United States: the first deep V-step hull, a project that was very innovative because the steps in the hull exerted a certain "lift" effect on the hull, making it faster and lighter on the surface of the water. Bob Hobbs, a visionary mathematician and naval architect who invented the very first V-step hull, ran into major manufacturing problems in South Florida. Carlo Riva was close to him and also involved Cal Connell (owner and founder of Mercruiser) and brought the innovative concept to Italy to bring it into production. And the MonteCarlo Offshorer was born, in a small shipyard in Ventimiglia called "Mare e Sole", just a few miles from Monaco.
The MonteCarlo Offshorer quickly became an icon of the Côte d'Azur. A total of 343 Offshorers were built: one of the most successful stories in the boating industry.
The unmistakable logo of the MonteCarlo Offshorer strongly evokes the concept of speed and at the same time the extravagant years of the "Dolce Vita" on the Cote d'Azur. Today, it is still considered one of the most stylish boats ever designed. More importantly, the hull and underwater lines are still considered the best ever conceived. They allow for great handling and high seaworthiness and allow very high speeds even in rough waters.
This MC30 is equipped with two 375 hp Crusader V8 engines. these are considerably lighter and more powerful than the more popular Mercruiser gas engines (which are also used in most Riva Aquarama).
The MC 30 is in perfect condition, the engines have been replaced and are more recent.
Staging and technical:
Electric Flaps, swimming ladder (ausklappbar).
Upholstery:
Sunbathing deck.
