The Piewiet 1100 "Elizabeth" is a true blue-water cruising yacht, designed and built in the Netherlands by vd Rest Nautic. Featuring a sought-after center cockpit layout and an encapsulated (boltless) keel, this model earned an excellent reputation for offshore sailing in the North Sea and was also exported to the United States and the United Kingdom. Today, these yachts are exceptionally rare on the market.

In 1996, Elizabeth successfully completed a single-handed circumnavigation of the world, demonstrating the yacht's remarkable seaworthiness and robust construction.

The hull is in excellent condition. In 2025, it was professionally treated with International Gelshield 200 epoxy primer and finished with fresh antifouling paint (visible in the photographs). After launching in December 2025, I personally sailed the yacht from the Netherlands to France, confirming her strength, reliability, and comfortable handling in real offshore conditions.

The interior has been refurbished and thoughtfully upgraded for extended cruising. Recent improvements include:

Power is provided by the reliable 27 HP Yanmar 3HMC diesel engine, which has been fully serviced and runs flawlessly. The engine has never smoked or consumed oil, and the engine compartment has always been kept impeccably clean. The yacht is fitted with a MaxProp three-blade feathering propeller for excellent performance under both sail and power.

The saildrive has been fully serviced, including the replacement of all seals and fresh gear oil, ensuring dependable operation for many seasons to come.

Ground tackle consists of a 15 kg Rocna Vulcan anchor with 70 metres of anchor chain, providing outstanding holding power and confidence in a wide range of anchoring conditions.
