2009 Harmony 38 Vintage, 76 000 EUR

The Harmony 38 was designed by Mortain & Mavrikios and built by the French Groupe Poncin. The concept was to create a modern cruising yacht combining good sailing performance with functional design and generous living space. In its contemporary review by the German sailing magazine YACHT, the model was particularly praised for its lively sailing characteristics, precise helm response and strong performance in moderate winds. The well-balanced hull and low centre of gravity give the Harmony 38 a distinctive character, with sailing itself at the heart of the design.

The “Baltica” offered here was built in 2009 and features the spacious two-cabin layout. This configuration provides a generous forward cabin, a particularly spacious aft cabin and a saloon with a seating area. A large separate heads compartment completes the layout. This arrangement makes the yacht well suited to extended cruising for two, while also providing ample space for sailing holidays with family or friends.

The yacht’s history began in Bremerhaven, where she was delivered by Blue Yachting and initially kept. She was later purchased through HanseYachts Vertrieb in Greifswald. Since the 2021 season, her current owner has used the “Baltica” for cruising holidays in the Baltic Sea, particularly along the Swedish and Danish coasts.

Particular attention should be drawn to the care the current owner has taken of the yacht. Over the past few years, continuous investment has gone into maintenance and technical upgrades. Various components have been renewed, important work has been carried out on the rigging, and the yacht’s technical systems have been brought up to date. These investments cover several areas of the boat and reflect an owner who has taken an active interest in maintaining and improving the yacht for his own use.

The “Baltica” therefore combines the design qualities of the Harmony 38 with a well-documented history of use and substantial investment in recent years. She is an appealing option for sailors looking for a distinctive cruising yacht with good sailing performance, a well-considered layout and a well-maintained overall appearance.

The “Baltica” is currently ashore in Gustow on the island of Rügen and can be viewed flexibly by prior arrangement. Subject to agreement, it may also be possible to take over the existing berth and winter storage space.
