Recently refitted and upgraded, 3-cabin, 2-heads custom composite performance cruiser from German Frers and with build by CNB Fano. Beautiful lines and effortless performance thanks to her efficient hull shape and powerful carbon rig.

FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:

From the board of German Frers and with custom build in carbon/Kevlar composite by the renowned CNB Fano shipyard under the management of Maurizio Testuzza, CAYMAN is the second of two 56.4 hulls launched in 1997. While her earlier sistership was stripped-back for racing, CAYMAN is luxuriously appointed internally and externally with teak decks, teak interiors and a very high-performance cruising specification, while still offering blistering performance thanks to her slippery hull lines, powerful carbon fibre rig and latest-generation carbon membrane sail wardrobe with a substantial 2018/19/20 refit bringing her fully up to date.

Her specification highlights include:-
3-cabin, 2-heads interior layout with owner’s cabin forward, finished in luxurious teak joinery and recently replaced Alcantara upholsteries
Advanced carbon/Kevlar composite construction
Teak laid side decks
3.20m draft lead fin keel with carbon fibre rudder blade
Yanmar 106hp diesel engine with shaft drive and 3-bladed MaxProp
Twin Solimar helm pedestals
Recently installed Raymarine instrument package including chart plotters and radar scanner
Carbon fibre mast and boom with rod standing rigging replaced in 2020
Recent South Sails Membranbox laminate carbon / black high-modulus aramid fibre membrane mainsail and genoa plus furling Code 0
Staysail, genoa and gennaker
Harken electric winches
Navtec rig hydraulics
24vDC electrics with recently replaced Mastervolt charger and batteries
Paguro diesel generator
Reverse osmosis water maker
Tender and outboard
Carbon fibre passarelle
Electric heads
Twin fridges
Webasto diesel-fired hot-water heating system

ABOUT CNB FANO:

In the early to mid-1990s, CNB had a shipyard facility in Fano, Italy (sometimes referred to as NYTECO yard). The CNB Fano shipyard gained prominence for building yachts designed by world-renowned naval architects, most notably Bruce Farr and Nauta Design. It specialised in "performance cruisers"—vessels that combined the speed of racing hulls with luxury interior styling.

In the mid-1990s, the facility underwent a significant change in leadership. Architect and project manager Maurizio Testuzza took over the CNB Fano shipyard in 1995 after working on high-profile projects like the Moro di Venezia.

The Fano facility eventually evolved into Adriasail, a yard founded by Testuzza that continued the tradition of high-tech, custom boat building in the region.

Today, boats built at the CNB Fano yard are highly regarded on the brokerage market for their "Italian styling" and advanced composite construction.
