Some boats are built for the marina. Angelsea was built for the ocean.

This beautifully finished Lyle Hess Bristol Channel Cutter has the pedigree, craftsmanship, and offshore experience that make these boats legendary. Her custom interior, built in solid teak and ash by Anderson Boat Works in Newport Beach, reflects the timeless influence of Lin and Larry Pardey’s Taleisin — traditional, seamanlike, and beautifully executed.

But Angelsea is far more than a showpiece. She has been proven offshore, including a seventeen-day passage across the Atlantic’s Thorny Path in 25–40 knots and heavy seas, and years of cruising throughout the Eastern Caribbean from Puerto Rico to Trinidad. Her long keel, protected outboard rudder, substantial bulwarks, and heavy-weather sailing characteristics inspire the kind of confidence that matters when conditions turn serious.

Professionally maintained and outfitted by an owner with 15 years as a sea captain, she carries quality navigation equipment, an electric windlass, a roller-furling staysail, and the practical systems needed for serious cruising.

Angelsea’s greatest strength may be her size. She is small enough for a couple to sail, maintain, and manage themselves — yet capable enough to take them places many larger yachts would hesitate to go.

Rarely does a boat combine this level of craftsmanship, proven offshore ability, and timeless Lyle Hess design in such a perfectly manageable package. Angelsea isn’t simply a beautiful classic cutter. She is a boat that has earned her sea miles — and is ready for many more.
