Restored Wooden Gozzo – The Maritime Soul of the Gulf of Salerno

Some boats tell a story even before they leave the harbour.

This beautifully restored wooden gozzo embodies the rich maritime tradition of the Gulf of Salerno, a region whose identity has always been deeply connected to the sea, fishing and coastal navigation. Its graceful lines recall a long-established culture of wooden boatbuilding, craftsmanship and an intimate knowledge of the sea, passed down through generations along the Salernitan coast.

A gozzo with timeless and authentic character, preserving the soul of traditional boats while offering, thanks to its current configuration, everything needed to enjoy the sea in comfort.

A Unique Engine Installation

One of the features that makes this gozzo particularly special is its engine installation: it is the only gozzo powered directly by Cantiere Navale F.lli Basile with a 140 HP engine.

The boat reaches a top speed of approximately 12 knots, while at a comfortable cruising speed of 8 knots, fuel consumption is only around 12 litres per hour, offering an excellent balance between performance and efficiency.

An electric bow thruster, installed by the current owner, makes the boat exceptionally manoeuvrable and greatly facilitates handling in tight spaces and during harbour manoeuvres.

A True Terrace Over the Sea

The large Teak deck is one of the boat's most distinctive features: an expansive area entirely dedicated to relaxation, fitted with comfortable sunbathing cushions and protected by a large Bimini top.

A full boat cover is also included, providing excellent protection when the boat is not in use.

At the stern, a spacious stainless-steel bathing platform, complemented by an elegant Teak grating and a large swim ladder, provides easy and comfortable access to the sea.

Generous Spaces Designed for Life on Board

The large central storage compartment offers enough space for two berths, making the gozzo particularly suitable for weekend getaways and short coastal cruises.

A second compartment has been fitted with a top-loading refrigerator, ideal for keeping drinks and provisions fresh during long days at anchor.

In the cockpit, a large wooden table surrounded by generous seating creates the perfect setting for lunch with friends, an aperitif at sunset or a relaxed evening at anchor.

The Authentic Charm of the Gulf of Salerno

This gozzo is more than simply a boat.

It represents a way of experiencing the sea that is deeply rooted in the maritime tradition of the Gulf of Salerno: the warmth of the wood, traditional lines, the conviviality of the cockpit, long days at anchor and the pleasure of slowly discovering secluded coves and picturesque coastal villages, leaving behind the noise and pace of everyday life.

It is a boat for those who appreciate authenticity, traditional craftsmanship and the timeless appeal of things that never go out of fashion.

A rare and beautifully restored example, ready to continue its story with a new owner.

A gozzo with a distinctive identity, deeply connected to the sea and to the maritime heritage of the Gulf of Salerno.
