Eine von sechs! Die SLY 42 Fun ist ein einzigartiges Konzept - BJ2007, aber extrem weit seiner Zeit voraus! Und nach dem Refit in den meisten Belangen BJ 2025/26. Ein optimales Konzept für leidenschaftliche Segler-Paare, die ab und an Besuch bekommen. Platz an Deck - gigantisch. Platz unter Deck - clever, funktional, absolut neuwertig.
Was vor eineinhalb Jahren als simpel gedachtes Refit-Projekt begonnen hat, wurde zu einem kleinen Meisterstück. Die Segelperformance der SLY 42 Fun sucht ihresgleichen. Durch die Bauweise extreme Formstabilität, durch das geringe Gewicht & die Carbonausstattung (Mast & Baum) eher auf der Welle, als in der Welle! Das Boot segelt auffallend trocken. Upwind traumhaft einfach - dank nagelneuem Carbon-Baum mit neuem Bamar Main-Furling und Selbstwendefock auch super sicher. Downwind ist die einzige Grenze der Mut zur Segelfläche ;-)). Eine Rennmaschine und gleichzeitig stylische, flotte und gemütliche Badeplattform (Weekender-Konzept!) die locker 2 Hand im Griff zu haben ist.
Beim Re-Fit wurden rund 200.000,- Euro Qualität, Sicherheit und Style investiert.
Komplett neuer Innenausbau (selbe Materialien wie Italienische Top-Werften einsetzen), Komplett neue Kiel-Aufhängung, neue Kielplatte & Bolzen (mega-robust!), neues stehendes Gut, Mast geprüft, Bamar Furling Fock komplett gewartet, Hydraulischer Trimm für Achterstag (Dyneema) und Niederholer (komplett neu gewartet). Mastfuss-Zylinder neu. neue Seeventile, komplettes Unterwasserschiff erneuert, Motor komplett zerlegt, erneuert, Teile getauscht, wieder aufgebaut, Saildrive alle Teile getauscht, Ruder neu, Ruderaufhängung & Lager/Durchführung neu, gesamte Elektrik im Mast/Mastbaum neu, neuer Mastbaum, neues Bamar Furling im Baum, neues Victron Energiesystem mit modernsten Akku-Bänken und Batterien für die großen Verbraucher. Komplett neue B&G Elektronik, neuer Autopilot, neue Sitzpolster&Matratzen etcetc. Segel aus 2024, wie neu. Gennaker 2023 - sehr ok. Code 0 & Furler nagelneu, 3 x gesegelt. Alle Fallen & Schoten sowie Festmacher neu. Alles Zubehör neu (Beiboot, Elektromotor, Mini-Kompressor für Dinghy/SUP, Solargenerator, etc) Komplett neues Beschattungssystem.
Was noch ansteht:
Teakdeck hält noch ca 2 Jahre, bei etwas Zuwendung auch länger.
Lack - Individualsache.
Technisch absolut alles erneuert.
Wer also eine Segelrakete ohne grosses Kopfweh sucht, sollte sich die SLY überlegen.

Warum verkaufe ich: weil sich Prioritäten im Leben verändert haben und ich/wir das Schiff viel zu wenig nutzen können. Das Herz schmerzt, aber so macht es gerade wenig Sinn. Wenn der Richtige/die Richtigen kommt/kommen, kann ich mir auch eine Bootspartnerschaft vorstellen - allerdings muss das gut abgemacht & vertraglich wasserdicht vereinbart sein. Alle Arbeiten sind fotografisch dokumentiert, Investitionen lückenlos nachweisbar. Ein vergleichbares Boot neuer Generation kostet weit jenseits der 700k. (Netto!)

One of only six! The SLY 42 Fun is a unique concept—built in 2007, yet years ahead of its time! And following its refit, it is effectively a 2025/26 model in most respects. It is an ideal setup for passionate sailing couples who occasionally host guests. Deck space is massive; the interior is clever, functional, and in absolutely pristine condition.
What began a year and a half ago as a simple refit project evolved into a small masterpiece. The sailing performance of the SLY 42 Fun is second to none. Its construction ensures extreme form stability, while its low weight and carbon components (mast and boom) allow it to ride *on* the waves rather than cutting *through* them—resulting in a remarkably dry ride. Upwind sailing is a dream—and incredibly safe, thanks to a brand-new carbon boom featuring a new Bamar mainsail furling system and a self-tacking jib. Downwind, the only limit is how much sail area you dare to carry! It is a racing machine that doubles as a stylish, swift, and comfortable platform for leisure and swimming (a true "weekender" concept)—all easily managed by a crew of two.
Around €200,000 was invested in quality, safety, and style during the refit.
Upgrades include a completely new interior (using the same materials found in top Italian shipyards), a completely new keel mounting system with a new keel plate and bolts (ultra-robust!), new standing rigging, a mast inspection, a full service of the Bamar jib furling system, and hydraulic trim systems for the backstay (Dyneema) and boom vang (fully serviced). The mast base cylinder is also new. New seacocks; entire underwater hull refurbished; engine completely stripped down, overhauled, parts replaced, and rebuilt; saildrive fully serviced with all parts replaced; new rudder, rudder mounting, and bearings/gland; complete rewiring of mast and boom; new boom; new Bamar in-boom furling system; new Victron energy system featuring state-of-the-art battery banks for high-draw equipment. Completely new B&G electronics, new autopilot, new seat cushions and mattresses, etc. Sails from 2024 (like new). 2023 gennaker (in very good condition). Code 0 and furler brand new (used three times). All halyards, sheets, and mooring lines replaced. All accessories new (dinghy, electric motor, mini-compressor for dinghy/SUP, solar generator, etc.). Completely new shading system.
Outstanding items:
Teak deck has about 2 years of life left—or longer with some maintenance.
Varnish/paintwork—a matter of personal preference.
Mechanically, absolutely everything has been renewed.
So, if you’re looking for a high-performance sailing rocket without the headaches, the SLY is well worth considering.

Why am I selling?

Because life priorities have changed, and I/we simply don't get to use the boat enough. It’s heartbreaking, but the current situation doesn't make much sense. If the right person (or people) comes along, I could also envision a boat partnership—though the terms would need to be clearly defined and legally watertight. All work has been documented photographically, and all investments are fully verifiable. A comparable boat of the new generation would cost well over 700k (net).
